It could be my Adam filter, but I got the feeling Alice Cooper would have gushed more over Adam and Queen if Rodgers wasn't sitting right next to him. I think he threw Rodgers a bone by saying that he "interpreted" the songs and Adam didn't. Of course we know that Adam DID interpret them in their full range and to the extent that he thought was respectful to the original version for the Queen fans. Alice sounds like he wants some credit for spotting Adam from the get go as the Freddie fill-in. So kudos to you Alice Cooper. Some rockers seem to want to keep their club exclusive and black ball reality stars. So good on him. ( of course I don't know squat and could be wrong about Alice Cooper but it makes me happy to hear it that way. LOL)

While the question of QAL is natural to ask Paul Rodgers, and I suppose Alice, turns out neither of them has seen the concerts QAL has done. Therefore, they have no basis to form an opinion on how well it works or doesn't work. I was a bit surprised that Rodgers wasn't even curious enough to check out videos, but, I guess it would be difficult to watch, knowing how much acclaim they have gotten, and how much mores successful everyone is saying they are than when Rodgers fronted Queen. I imagine he has heard from fans and friends that Brian and Roger have been over the moon with the QAL collaboration, and how it is much more Queen-like than what Paul did with them in an earlier version of Queen +. That would really hurt an ego and possibly put a pall on his memories of the Queen collaboration. Well, I for one don't buy that he hasn't seen any of Adams work with Queen. What I find annoying is that both these gentlemen can't seem to find anything positive to say about Adam's singing other than he's more like Freddie, implying an imitation. And the comment about Adam having the look (because he's gay like Freddie?) was crappy IMO. Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly but that's how I saw it.

"Flamboyant", "over the top", or "theatrical" would have been a better choice for Alice to use than the implication that Adam is gay like Freddie and sort of giving a smirk afterwards. And, BS that Paul has not seen a QAL performance video. It must be devastating to hear another performer receive all the accolades for a gig you held previously. Actually feel sorry for him.

It would get a standing ovation not only at a Queen concert, but on Broadway, or at the Met. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6S-SOvfZmY&index=6&list=PLLUOVdQ-in7gDoPphGRZCjXFjphGaNWVs

oh, loxie, did you have to pull out that performance, and by performance i mean outfit? One of my top three. and cassie, you nudged me, I'm sure not meaning to, over the edge and down, down, down the rabbit hole. With all the attention on the new album, I lost touch a little with how magnificent that whole tour was.
