So, since Adam will be in South America from September 16-30, how do you guys think that will effect new single promo? Someone, the other day, hypothesized that ALN could be the new single because he has not been singing it as much as TOH during current promo opportunities. I was thinking that having existing publicity performances of TOH might be a benefit for that song if it is the new single. What say you? I think the QAL SA tour time was picked out with WBR knowing the promo for the 2nd single would be Oct/Nov! It works out perfectly for the new TV season in the US too. I think the SA dates could not be more perfect! He will do promo, after the sonI am happy with I am happy with either TOH or ALN. I am hoping for TOH because I think it is the stronger song but both will be great singles. I believe the Q+AL South American Tour schedule is built on the Rock In Rio date -- not Adam's single schedule. It could not have been timed more perfectly for Adam's promo schedule. Sometimes things work out nicely.

We are so lucky to have videos of almost every Adam live performance in the past six years. I cherish them. I also sometimes cringe to see folks standing five feet from him and looking at their phone screen instead of at him, pouring his heart out to the audience. How can he interact with the audience if they don't even look at him? I am reminded of the time I went on a whale-watching boat excursion. We came across a mama humpback with her calf, and I was trying to capture the moment with my camera. Suddenly I stopped and thought, "How stupid. Here is this once in a lifetime event happening in the sea in front of me, and I am not experiencing it. I am trying to snap a frickin' picture! Watch the breathtaking scene and buy a bloody postcard when you get back to the gift shop!!!!" Not meant as a criticism. As I said to start with, I LOVE being able to see the performances on video! But, just a thought. Benjamin Cumberbatch, starring in a stage production of Hamlet, recently commented on the distraction of all the cameras filming while he was trying to do the soliloquy. Food for thought. www.buzzfeed.com/elliewoodward/benedict-cumberbatch-has-begged-fans-to-stop-filming-him-dur?utm_term=.jhzX7DYnn6#.rbe7jeDyJ7Adam has commented about it a few times but (thankfully) many, many Adam fans do not have a camera in front of their faces the whole time. I think it was <5% of the audience who had phones up at Moronga -- enough so we got tons of video but not too distracting. >> I don't remember which concert it was but believe during Trespassing Tour he said something about it from the stage. Does anyone remember? This is such an tricky subject to broach, but I'm in. I love that we have vids. That said, phones really schmucked up my only chance to see Adam and Queen less than 15 feet from the catwalk during QAL. These were VIP tickets and a hoard of fans rumbled to the front and proceeded to put every damn phone in the universe up in the air high, high, high. I saw Adam and Brian only in passing when a phone zone opened up. It was also very distracting. Phones up, phones down, phones up..you get the gist. And so it is..a conundrum. I totally get what Benedict Cumberbach was trying to say. Internalizing a performance without the use of devices. And then I'm selfish enough to want vids. I thought VIP might mean for something but in this case it was most unpleasant. Much money spent on watching Adam through phone lenses. OK, I'm done.

On the other hand, getting high quality audio can be done without obstructing anyone's view. It requires the right equipment that can cost US $100 and up depending on the quality level desired. And some knowledge of how to use the equipment for best results in different situations is also required. If anyone wants to know the ends and outs of getting good audio at concerts, let me know.
