This is such an tricky subject to broach, but I'm in. I love that we have vids. That said, phones really schmucked up my only chance to see Adam and Queen less than 15 feet from the catwalk during QAL. These were VIP tickets and a hoard of fans rumbled to the front and proceeded to put every damn phone in the universe up in the air high, high, high. I saw Adam and Brian only in passing when a phone zone opened up. It was also very distracting. Phones up, phones down, phones up..you get the gist. And so it is..a conundrum. I totally get what Benedict Cumberbach was trying to say. Internalizing a performance without the use of devices. And then I'm selfish enough to want vids. I thought VIP might mean for something but in this case it was most unpleasant. Much money spent on watching Adam through phone lenses. OK, I'm done. On the other hand, getting high quality audio can be done without obstructing anyone's view. It requires the right equipment that can cost US $100 and up depending on the quality level desired. And some knowledge of how to use the equipment for best results in different situations is also required. If anyone wants to know the ends and outs of getting good audio at concerts, let me know. Getting good pictures and/or video should also be possible without interfering with anyone's view.Of course, it requires skills and decent camera equipment, but even a point-and-shoot can get quality shots without being up in the air. You have to think that so many of those cell phones and tablets held up in the air will never see the light of the internet, and probably not much viewing by the shooter, given the probable poor quality/lack of focus. (I seem to know too many pro or semi-pro photographers who really do concert shots and get them published or distributed.)

If in a steeply graded seating, as in the stands of an arena, it should be possible to get good pictures and/or video without obstructing other people's view. But if you are on a level floor, it is rather difficult if not impossible, especially the further back you are located.

If the point and shoot doesn't have a viewfinder then it is just as likely that it too will be held up. And my two cents on the subject, I see much clamoring from fans to have videos and streaming for every concert. I find it kind of ironic that people would be upset then when they are at the show and people are VIDEOING. Can't have it both ways, begging people who are going to film or record but then prefer that they didn't when you are at the performance. I generally don't watch the videos unless someone points out a particularly good performance so I could live without videos. And I am retired now from videoing since they are not viewed. Don't need to waste my time

My question is: will Adam be filming the music video for his second single before he leaves for Europe, or at least before the Queen South American tour begins?
If he does film the video in the next few weeks, and we hear/see news or hints about the shoot that might give us a clue about song selection before it's officially announced.
I'm going to assume that when Adam performs at the concert in New York on October 8 that he's going to want to take advantage of the opportunity to announce the name of his new single to the crowd. To tell them to keep an ear out for it on the radio, or to Shazam it, or request it, or whatever promo he wants to do from the stage.
And I assume that the radio station sponsoring the show will have been spinning the song for a week or two before the concert.
So if a radio station has been playing the song for a week or more by October 8, surely there has to be a music video out by around that time? Plus he'll probably be doing some TV promo during that month, and it'd be good to have clips from the video available. It seems like there's generally a three-week turnaround time after a video is filmed before it's ready for release. If he waits until after the tour in South America to shoot it, it wouldn't be available until the end of October and that seems a little late, especially since the video view counts will contribute to the single's Hot 100 chart position.

Misha, if you remember, the lyric video came out at the same time as Ghost Town! Same night The official music video came out on April 29th, which was 8 days later. So, IMO, "Yes" the video will be made before he goes to S A! The turnaround was very quick. I think only 2 weeks!
ETA: Just researched it. Video was filmed on the 11th. Premiered on ET April 28th. Posted to Adam's You Tube on the 29th.
