Was just discussing radio "deals" with my radio friend and we realized a large majority of the songs above GT on the Pop chart had that hourly play deal. So I counted! 10 out of the 23 songs ahead of GT did!!  That hourly deal seems like a potential land mine though. Unless you are certain you have a strong fan base and full radio support, it seems to me you run a huge risk of a rapid collapse in spins that would eliminate any possibilty of a song taking off naturally. Maybe a better way to think about is more did not have an hourly deal than did. ????? |

Amazing AI, but still not helping sales!  The Hills passed (Do not like that song!) Don't see it as a Pop radio song at all. Looks like #23 for Sunday! Then the AMAs and all hell breaks loose! |

Exactly. I don't understand the "push" this late in the game, really seems too little too late... It is nice to see the AI increases, but the spin numbers are stagnant anyway... I do hope there is some "master plan" behind all this. |
