Should we expect Bieber's new tropical house song "What Do You Mean" to affect GT on radio in any way? Thinking about it, this is probably why Bieber was cancelled from Fusion Festival, because he was planning to make his comeback announcement. Beiber is a wait and see. Radio has not loved him, so we will have to see what happens after his radio deal of today. You never know! Using Macklemore as an example, they had the every hour deal yesterday. Z dutifully, spun it every hour! Today though, not once since 2 a.m.! So, you never know!

Yep, Justin has not been a radio darling, however I'm kinda halfway expecting to see Him show up as a surprise guest at the MVA's. The song is meh, but he still appears to have a ton of fans. The Maclemore song is just flat bad. YMMV.

Why did I not notice all the big negative spins above GT this morning! Weeknd (CFMF), OMI, Skrilkex, Swift, Platten, 5H, Zedd, Tori, WIZ, Silento! Ah but big question is how hard (or rather fast) will they fall.

Remember that today is Friday which is new music day so not surprised at the itunes drop since new music coming in usually zooms up. If it regains its position over the next few days then it's fine. Last weeks new music dip was mitigated by the broadcast performance on Saturday. We didn't see much of a bump but we didn't see a drop either. Sales trended up this week right in line with the AI increase until Thursday afternoon. So I figure the drop has more to do with the new music hitting the charts.
Interestingly the music video which has been out of the overall 200 most days suddenly zoomed up this week as well until this morning. I haven't kept track of how often VH1 plays it outside of the countdown so maybe they played it more?

as expected - radio needs to have time to play the popular kids' masterpieces:
The National Treasure released her new single (I guess) - #37 with +442 spins and close to 9 mil AIs, day 2 on the chart Mackelmore& Ryan (Downtown) - #34 with + 341 spins and over 14 mil AIs, day 2 on the chart
IMO GT is safe for tomorrow to get the #23 #24 though.
Next week back to #25 at best - Biebs is out and who knows what other musical geniuses are dropping their everyone-must-hear-creations. Surprisingly though Little Mix seems to have slowed down...
ETA: How could I've missed Biebs !!!! - #32 with +1647 spins and 15 Mil AIs on day 1!
So, he might pass GT tomorrow! (Deal or no deal). The next week GT is down to #26 at best (according to me :D).
