OT question: Where can I find the sales numbers for Jessie J's CD? I purchased the CD after Adam's tweet about it and really like about 8 of the 13 songs; was wondering how it is was selling. They are compiled on this Wiki page and his bio page. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_You_Are_%28Jessie_J_album%29US chart positions are correct -- I did not check the other countries. His album sold 105K in the first week in the UK alone.

Maybe with Glam Slam Nation Live we all get 3 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, 3 pancakes with sparkles like an Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast with glitter on top. This gets my vote for POST OF THE DAY! You go, Q3!!

Off my soapbox but I detest unfairness or mixing religion with public schools or commerce or equality. Anyway, I want Adam Wedding pictures some day! (I have my priorities!) ******************************************************************************* The pop music world is transitioning. There are three pop divas who are struggling on radio in spite of massive promotional budgets -- Lady Gaga, Britney and Rhianna -- and these three artists have 5 song that have dropped over -2,000 spins in a week -- biggest drops of the year so far. I do not ever recall seeing something like this. These kind of drops mean that the song had a ton of promotion from the label but low fan/listener support. -2534 WMN Rihanna -2493 HIAM Britney Spears -2471 S&M Rihanna Ft. Britney Spears -2442 BTW Lady Gaga -2144 Judas Lady Gaga A destabilized music business is good for Adam. So let me hope that 1. he has a couple of killer pop tracks on that album and 2. the pop music landscape says this volatile. I think Beyonce may soon be a part of that list. Her new single has been really panned! That video she premiered on Idol was one of the worst videos I think I have ever seen!

<snip> I just told my mom (mid 80s) about the TN "law"... I had to repeat it to her 3 times, twice in English and once in Russian, because she kept thinking that 1) she did not hear me correctly and then 2) that she misunderstood it in English... I swear... she was staring at me with her jaw dropped and she started saying "but how is that possible? how is that possible?"... then she brought up Tchaikovsky, who committed suicide which was attributed to his depression caused by the fear of exposure of his homosexuality... the loss of such monumental talent to the horrible prejudices of the society... but that was 150 years ago...Tchaikovsky? Really? Man, I can't believe I didn't know that, and he's like my second favorite classical composer (Mozart - yeah cliche but true - Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Holtz). Strangely enough, know the least about Tchaikovsky the person out of all of them. Maybe that's why. [pensive]

Popping in quickly because I was suddenly reminded of a post geezlouise (from Canada) placed the other day. And on another note........ I filled out my Census form a few days back and proudly smiled as I put my X in the Opposite Sex Common Law or Married box that sat just above the Same Sex Common Law or Married box. I truly hope that someday SOON that this entire issue will become such an everyday facet of life in the U.S. that same sex marriage is no more than another garden-variety data box on a Census form. [sighs] On a serious note.. Hoppers, I look forward to the day there are NO boxes to check anymore. Might not come in my lifetime, but if I can live my life in integrity, perhaps I have helped someone else.

Now totally OT, but while I *respect* Bach music, I'm not that into it.
Listening to Bach is like listening to musical math equations. Intellectually interesting, but pretty much devoid of any emotion. Admittedly, a lot of Baroque music in general strikes me that way.
ETA: If the rapture is gonna be here in just a few hours, do I really have to drag my carcass to the grocery store this late to get milk for tomorrow morning??
