Aleks - since its the kind of company that lends him a company apartment and has a smart operating address, they may well have a Human Resources department who will be very used to helping with this kind of thing. Are they big enough for such a dept? Relocation assistance would be a very usual part of their remit, I would imagine.
Has your brother asked if they can help?
Just tell me to shut up if he has and they can't...

Just tell me to shut up if he has and they can't... I don't know if they have HRD, it's a bank, Erste Bank from Austria. And he hasn't asked them and probably won't because it would be bad for first impression of him, in his opinion. He wants to make a great impression and he won't ask for help:))) But I think some kind of help will be offered to him in any case. Thank you everyone for amazing help, I have sent him all your messages and he is amazed how detailed they are. He already has some ideas where to look for. He and I both thank you all!!! |

For all you lovely people, a little update on Nemanja:)
He 's found an apartment, Upper East Side:) He bought furniture at IKEA, which was a better solution than renting a furnished one. He had to wait for some stuff, like getting a phone and renting, because he had to get his SSN first and couldn't do a lot of things without it. It annoyed him a bit, but he got it.
He has his own office at work, which freaks him out, since he never had one before and he didn't want to feel isolated and thought he would need constant mentoring. But everything turned out okay, his colleagues are all incredibly kind. He's afraid that they are overestimating his abilities, which I know isn't true:) He got himself a macbook and now we skype:)
He doesn't get too lonely because he is very busy. It's very cold there right now, so he has to buy a warm jacket. He spends his free time exploring the city.
Thanks everyone again for your incredible help, I will never ever forget it!!!

aleks, thanks for the update! Such an exciting time for your brother! This whole NYC experience is gonna be the BEST THING EVER for him, and he's going to remember it and talk about it for the rest of his life. Such a terrific opportunity for a young man... I'M VERY JEALOUS!! Wouldn't it be fabulous if there was some way you could visit him?!! And you guys could wander around the city and your brother could show you all the neat places he's discovered!

I gave it to my daughter thinking it was just my cat but her cat became sick and started vomiting also. I am going to throw it away - but I thought someone should be aware of it. bought my cat a new bag of Purina cat chow indoor formula last night. 20 minutes after feeding him from the new bag he was vomiting blood, foaming at the mouth, voiding his bladder and thrashing around the house. We left for the vet within minutes but it didn't matter. He died in my daughter's arms on the way to the vet. It was only after I got home and calmed down a little, I kept saying to myself, 'He was fine, I just fed him. He was fine, I JUST FED HIM...' That's when I started looking online and found NUMEROUS recent stories that all read the same as mine, about the same cat food all within the last week. What the hell is this?? My cat is dead!! You'd think they would have pulled it after the first few pets have died. more;
