And, let me add one more to that. 3. Grunge rock of the 90's. : What is Grunge rock? :-[ Wiki definition: "Grunge (sometimes referred to as the Seattle sound) is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged during the mid-1980s in the American state of Washington, particularly in the Seattle area. Inspired by hardcore punk, heavy metal, and indie rock, grunge is generally characterized by heavily distorted electric guitars, contrasting song dynamics, and apathetic or angst-filled lyrics. The grunge aesthetic is stripped-down compared to other forms of rock music, and many grunge musicians were noted for their unkempt appearances and rejection of theatrics." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GrungeMusic example: Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit" Hope this helps.

Everything Lee DeeWyze does now. Started in Seattle. Lots of flannel! Yes, Kurt Cobain has a lot to answer for. Lots of angsty music and the rejection of fashion. So many rock dudes in flannel, ratty tee-shirts/jeans, unshaven. And then we have Adam, who always shows up looking fabulous. Reminds me of the GMA performance with Adam, Kris and David Cook. This video still makes me chuckle; Adam adrift in a sea of plaid. "One of these things is not like the others" indeed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=40-6iyvUV3cETA: Sorry videos aren't embedding. I need a remedial posting class.

Everything Lee DeeWyze does now. Started in Seattle. Lots of flannel! To me this isn't even grunge any more.. I call it post grunge. Its commercial and lost what little edge it had.
