Pooldisco goes Dick And Fanny - May 29, 6-12AM
Dick And Fanny is hosting the Secret Garden room at the Pooldisco party on the rooftop of Shoreditch House with special guest Susanne Bartsch.
The Secret Garden line-up includes Miss Bailey, Rod Thomas (Bright Light Bright Light), DJ De La Ioakim and Dick And Fanny DJs.
The Poolside line-up includes Pooldisco resident DJ Severino, who will be joined by Mark Moore aka SExpress and Ben Pistor (Disco Bloodbath).

it is not the gay thing. Clay Aiken has sung the National Anthem at major holidays and sporting events. it's probably a timing thing.... ie: Adam doesn't have time and maybe doesn't have an interest honestly. I've never seen Gaga, pink, katy perry sing the national anthem. No I agree it is not a "gay thing". And Gaga and Katy Perry would be wise to avoid singing the National Anthem. Pink could sing it if she chose to -- she certainly has the range. But many famous pop/urban/country/rock singers has sung the National Anthem -- including recently Beyonce. Gaga and Katy Perry are actually quite good singers, although none of the songs showcase this fact. I didn't realize the debate was on range but rather on why Adam hasn't sung the NA and I was merely pointing out that others, who are much bigger stars, haven't either so it seems unlikely that it's a slight against Adam and more likely disinterest by Adam or no time to do it. |

Every other top 4 finalist from Idol has been booked for 1 or more national anthems. It is an Idol tradition. if there are any. Even Justin and Blake got anthems to sing. All but Adam. I've wondered about it, too. And I'll take a potentially unpopular stance and even say I wouldn't be surprised if it were a "gay thing." I'm sorry, but Adam Lambert =/= Clay Aiken. Clay may be gay, but at least as far as I'm concerned, he might as well be neutered, at least as far as his persona is concerned. Adam is a very sexual gay man; his image is completely different and much less "safe." I could definitely see people who are uncomfortable with homosexuality having a much easier time accepting Clay than Adam. JMO. I'll feel we've made progress when every event or opportunity that Adam doesn't get isn't blamed on "the gay" It's a crutch IMO and one, that with ALL of Adam's successes and all the acceptance that he's received seems really unfounded and out of place. |
