Ok - this SSB talk is dying down nicely, but I just wanted to say that Adam grew up in San Diego...HOME TO THE PACIFIC FLEET. San Diego has a very strong Navy/Marine presence, and everyone I've met there has a lot of respect for the military. Some day, I fully expect Adam to sing SSB for a military base on Memorial Day or the 4th of July. The only thing that will shock me is if its ARMY. ;D ETA: As for sports.... [shrug] Whatev. I *do*, however, want him to sing at the White House. Before Obama leaves office. I'll take THAT over any lame-o sporting event.

US Department Of State Reacts To Violent Anti-Gay Crackdown In Russia networkedblogs.com/itTMg U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE Office of the Spokesman For Immediate Release May 29, 2011 2011/855 STATEMENT BY MARK TONER, DEPUTY SPOKESPERSON Concern about Freedom of Assembly in Russia We note with concern that in Moscow on Saturday, May 28, a peaceable demonstration of Russians advocating for the rights of gays and lesbians, joined by international supporters, was forcefully disrupted by counter-protesters, and that Russian security forces then detained people from both groups, including American citizens. Some protestors were seriously injured according to media reports. Freedom of assembly is a fundamental right all members of the OSCE committed to, including in the Moscow declaration and as recently as the Astana summit. As nationwide legislative elections approach, constraints on the ability of Russian citizens peacefully to gather and express their views will be closely watched in evaluating the integrity of the electoral process. We call on Russian authorities to work with municipal officials to find better ways to safeguard these fundamental freedoms.

When you think about it, singing it at a Marine Base is way more meaningful than singing it at a Laker's game. Not as big an audience, but still very special, IMO. I think there has to be a reason and it can't be his schedule. The Lakers are right down the road form Adam's house. Either he doesn't want to do it at a sports event, or hasn't beeen asked. Why? I guess we'll never know. I have solved this issue. Adam is a damn dirty COMMUNIST. GET HIM!!!!! chunkey-Once again, brief and to the point.

[sourly] Sayz the same country who allowed Tennessee to pass that asinine law FORMALLY NEGATING equal rights for gays. #hypocrites (And before any of you jump on my ass, let me just remind y'all that I lived on Capitol Hill for a lot of years and I know full well how things work)

Very impressive that A & S can trust each other enough to go out to parties, or bars, separately. Says a lot about their relationship. IMHO Hmm... not specifically directed at you, glamnana, but at a lot of assumptions flying around twitter as well. I'm a person who did have a serious long-distance relationship with someone overseas for three years before we eventually got hitched. Therefore the fact that people in this situation spend large chunks of time apart by necessity/while fulfilling their dreams/visiting family, and that during that time both have happy, fulfilling, playful lives out clubbing with their other friends, is just natural and healthy. I find it neither impressive or unimpressive, neither the sign of a serious relationship or the sign of a casual one, just normal behavior. JMHO. ITA. I'd worry if either Adam or Sauli sat at home alone pining whenever they were apart, because the reality is, if they stay together, there will be many times when they are apart. I find it odd that there is some fretting (not here) about the two of them being out separately. Seems that some people either have an unrealistic idea of how relationships work, or have some unflattering stereotypical ideas about gay men.

He was about 4-6 feet behind Adam. When Adam is in HBIC mode and trying to purposefully get someplace, I don't think there's anyone who could keep up with him. Same thing happened when they were leaving, after Cam's concert at The El Rey. Everyone in Adam's party was a good 6 ft behind him!
