My post about the Finale was all positive and a link would not have bugged me as much as the exact quote pulled from here and tweeted out by someone who is not me. It has made me rethink how or if I will post some RL Adam encounters in the future. :( ETA: I am probably being too sensitive. I PMd Q3, at the time, and she talked me down from the ledge!  |

There is someone on FYE on LJ that is either a member here or lurks constantly. She keeps up to date with this board and constantly makes fun of us. We are "old ladies", "crays", "confused", etc. Posting on FYE is anonymous so she doesn't hold back. I have my hunches. Well, I ain't OLD, but guys are no longer ogling me when I walk across the campus. I have earned every one of my years and am proud of them. And, I freely admit to being absolutely cray about Adam's voice and performance. Confused? Not in the least. Except about sound checks vs performances. And sometimes on how to safely download stuff on my computer. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a wonderful, witty, intelligent, diverse, supportive community here that I am extremely proud to be a part of. I have never understood the need some folks have to ridicule others thru the anonymity of the internet. It must be terrible going thru life with such a black cloud over your head and in your mind. Don't plan on going elsewhere to read ugly snark masquerading as haughty sophistication and elitism. This pool, deep and shallow, floats my boat. |

Join the club! I was not happy, at all, that my post here about the Idol Finale got tweeted all over the world!  There is someone on FYE on LJ that is either a member here or lurks constantly. Everyone who is on FB please go to this page, its a Greek radio station in Thessaloniki with lots of listeners, scroll a bit you will see WWFM that they played today and "like" the song!!
They love him and on top of the song the dj wrote today :

Cassie!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear the interview. Hope it's recorded and posted since I'll be at work when it airs.
The interview with Sauli is so great! He seems so down-to-earth and I love that he's figuring out ways to have his own life and friends in LA. Also he is so respectful of Adam and their private life. The interview reminded me of Adam's where you're thinking, wow, he shared SO much, and then you realize there's absolutely no private, secret information there, lol.
As for other sites... *shrug*
There's plenty of crossover readership between ATop and other Adam-centered sites on the internet. And there's good and bad to be found everywhere. If you put it online, it's fair game to be c/p'd and posted all over the place; it's just the way it is.
And can we NOT get into bashing other sites and making insinuations about their members reading or posting here? Absolutely no point in that and just invites trouble. Bottom line, you want to avoid wank, don't go to sites where the purpose is to wank. Simple.

I hate that site and and all the so called writers on it..they put this on the end of your translation : It just goes to show that people have more in common than we believe as even on the other side of the World, they can see that Madam is a poser and his fans are a destructive force. ... and that is what I am upset with..., not the fact that it was copied but the PLACE/SITE that did that. I don't know where they copied it from as I posted the translation in the comments on YT video ...thinking that there are many, many fans that could benefit...anyway, lesson learned... GREAT SAULI INTERVIEW!!! He is so cute! I wonder if he actually said "our LIFE" or is it just a translation and he used something different... Finnish speaking folks - please clarify... |

Erm....... [frustrated sigh] Well, those dipsticks are always going to snark, and (after reading the comments), its obvious they've got a Russian translator of their own. They could have done it without your help. However, they didn't have to come here themselves. Your translation was up on mjsbigblog within a few hours of your posting (didn't recognize the poster). Well part of it. [shuffles] I added the rest of it on mj's b/c whoever posted it only brought the beginning, and not the part where everyone was happy at the end. I thought that part was just as important, so I added it to mj's concert thread myself. Was that ok? I also briefly recapped the other semi-translation where you said that the reviewer authors were rather snide, but the comments (by actual concertgoers) were universally extremely supportive. I had seen that article floating around, and wanted people to know that the authors were getting slammed by people who actually SAW the concert. I don't normally bring things back and forth between boards, but this Moscow show was new territory. Can you please PM me if you're upset? |

Your Idol recap post was so real and so positive for Adam - Even tho it is frustrating for you, I'm glad that such a positive post was tweeted out and not some negative drivel post. Please keep posting your RL Adam encounters.  BTW- The more I read and learn about Sauli, the more I understand at least part of the reason Adam was drawn to him that night - he seems to radiate joy and positivity just as Adam does. Two beautiful souls meeting so unexpectedly - brings a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. Hopeless romantic - that's me.  |
