Christina is one of those artists who are always trying something different and pushing boundaries, that's what I've always loved about her. She doesn't let people tell her what to do. Her last release may have been a flop but she's still one of the best female singers of her generation. I'd love to hear Adam sing with her. I agree she has an exceptional voice.. despite that first single, without really knowing what is on her album, I don't understand why it flopped. One bad single run shouldn't doom an album. I recall following what was going on with her, but I brain dumped the happenings of her entire release. I haven't heard her album--just dl the one song from it she did with Niki Minaj that's kinda dirty lmao but it's my JAM licky likcy yum yum what a great guy! haha--but I think because the first single was bad it just didn't set her off on the best start. Then put a not so great single with an ATROCIOUS vid for the song where she is in S&M gear and trying sooo hard to be shocking that it's laughable...yeah I think that's what did it in. I really don't know if the album is as bad as people made it out to be, but that first video was God awful and I think after that she didn't stand a chance. Plus who knows what else was going on behind the scenes that helped contribute to it's failure. Maybe the label wasn't fully supportive or she just didn't have her heart in it. I mean, as we all know she obviously was going through some major personal stuff. Oh well, every big star has a fall from grace and then comes back. Hell, if Britney can make a come back then certainly Christina can. |

I felt the same way about that mv -a swing and a MISS. But she really is a great singer AND a singer Adam has on many occasions said he'd like to duet with. So, I hope the rumor is true solely because it would be another of his dreams come true. (I've been wondering if Sasha Mallory might dance on SYTYCD to one of Adam's songs . . . ) |

Regarding Christina, yes, I believe her last album did not do well because she got bashed for trying to emulate Gaga (Perez trashed her, like the sweet guy he is :  . I also agree that the video was a misguided experiment in soft porn that was just ... no. However, the girl can SANG and she has really been coming across as personable and funny and very knowledgeable about music in "The Voice." It works great for them both, I think. He's up-and-coming and she's hit a speed bump that came from being too ambitious and a little misdirected (IMO), not from any kind of personal or vocal failing. Both are with RCA and have fans that place incredible singing on their highest of priorities. I don't know why people seem to think it's a cover an unrelated to any new music. Where is the clue for that? I didn't realize "The Voice" was ending so quickly, so perhaps a duet on the finale is not going to happen. Oh well. |
