That is right Pastababy....also specific words like 'now Jump' or 'berting' or 'fianally'...it is called creating 'fantasy chains' and is an integral component of in-group bonding!! hehehe Love it when rl confirms theory!! they also cause people who are new or unfamiliar to feel excluded and therefore not welcome. "in group" bonding belongs on private/exclusive boards where having inside jokes or whatever doesn't detract from the flow of conversation. JMO. Online life is rife with acronyms, short-hand and code that changes by the day, even the hour. Everyone experiences a bit of fish-out-of-water syndrome when they first jump in. We all went through it and you go from a newbie (noob), to experienced, to expert, to completely fluent and innovative at different rates of speed. Some manage to become comfortable with it in a day; others it takes much longer. It's an integral part of communication and now it's just being done at an extremely fast rate on an international level. And if anyone ever wonders what something means, all's they have to do is ask. They'll get multiple responses within seconds.

I've never seen the responses delayed. The internet is full of acronyms, especially Twitter. Chunkey used to have an acronym dictionary on her site. I wonder if it's still there? I will check and then steal it! ;D Any acronyms you want to add/learn? Check our dictionary from the old Adamtopia. adamtopia.proforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=69

Christina was supposed to tour last year, but cancelled before it got too far along. If memory serves she changed it to Fall 2011. The timing would be about right for Adam to tour again. Is Adam big enough to Co-Headline a tour with Christina? The two together could do an arena tour. Less shows, more seats for Adam. Glamnation was very successful on it's scale and Christina had a bit of a stumble. Does this make them equal enough to co-Headline? Bonus: Sia could be their opening act. 8-)
This came to mind watching all Christina's fans flailing at the possibility of a collaboration.
Side Note: Christina sang Crazy on the premiere of The Voice with the other hosts. It was great, but I kept thinking it needed Adam. I would travel great distances to hear Adam do Crazy live.

I was just watching Adam's performance of Sleepwalker on this YT in HD. OMG! The vocals on this are unbelievable! I don't think I have ever seen Adam put on a performance like this, check out from 3:40 till the end, he is rocking out into the stratosphere! What a RAK GOD he is! Those lucky Russians to get to see this for real! Excellent vid, except the focus on Tommy during Adam's wail before the awesome guitar solo by Monte. Oh, well....... www.youtube.com/user/Walerica89#p/u/7/qz6TAkuHCKAETA: Yay, I figured out how to embed this, learning! YUP, this is great. Other favorites are the on from Houston; listen after Monte's solo (vocals around 5.00 onwards). Exeptional. Another great one (the best?) is Brisbane, which is IMO similar to the Maxidrome intrepretation, but with better vocal control. Cassie, care to comment?

"in group" bonding belongs on private/exclusive boards where having inside jokes or whatever doesn't detract from the flow of conversation. JMO. I started lurking at PF several months after everything started and I used to lurk some at Gossip Candy too when that board was around (it was a precursor to The Home Planet) and it took me awhile to get up to speed on the inside jokes and the jargon (OLFIP took me forever). Once I did I felt comfortable posting, and I've always admired who feel free to jump in and post before they figure out all this stuff. But I would say this happens in the real world too- any group that spends a lot of time together develops their own rhythm and anyone new always has to figure out how to get up to speed. The only alternative is for people to pretend like they don't have any shared history, and there is no way for that to really happen. I think, at least here, that people try to not be too thoughtless about the inside stuff and never make fun of or talk down to people who ask for information. And given the new people who have joined the crowd in the last few months and post regularly, I think we are doing a pretty good job of it.

Maybe we need to add some of our favorite/meaningful terms to our acronym dictionary so that newcomers like wonderstruck don't feel left out. Any takers? I volunteered to do it but need a few weeks b4 I can get started.
