www.tvguide.com/News/Voice-Results-Show-1033868.aspxThe Voice will air a live results show on Wednesday, June 22 at 8/7c. The following week, the show will name its first winner on a second live results show on Wednesday, June 29 at 8/7c. No word yet on how producers will fill the hour-long results shows, but here's hoping for an encore performance of "Crazy" (or maybe "Forget You?") by coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. I know who could help them fill the hour! I have a suggestion how to fill-in that hour : 1. Adam + Cee lo - Crazy 2. Adam + Adam > This Love 3. Adam + Blake - Ring of fire ;D 4. Adam + Christina > New duet Then they declare him "The Voice" and end the show!

yes of course, one can ask. But honestly, I have no desire to learn the shortened versions of the words these things stand for. Perhaps it's because I'm a little OCD about trying to use proper grammar and spelling, even online, that all the acronyms drive me batty; to me they just seem like laziness. I type in full sentences even on text and twitter whenever possible LOL... JMO and I can just scroll when they are used, it's what I usually do anyway. When it becomes more about scrolling then actually reading here I'll go elsewhere for my Adam news/information. I'm one person and since I seem to be the only one it bothers no need to change anything on my behalf. OCD????? JMO??????? LOL??????? ;D Seriously, there are abbreviations and acronyms used on every blog site and fan board on the Internet. Even the Idol Bubble has its own special language. When I first started reading at MJs, I didn't know what half of the posts were even talking about! (pimp spot, F2, huffed, bussed...) Good luck trying to find a fan board that doesn't use abbreviations and acronyms on the Internet! Does such a place exist? If so, please provide a link. I would be interested in seeing what type of site has resisted the natural tendency to shorten commonly used phrases. (especially if it is an Adam fan site)

Goes to show how fast these things can change. I never knew ~ was being used as a quotation mark, but I don't spend a lot of time on Twitter.

tigerlily - totally agree that every fan board has it's own "language". I am a huge Disney themeparks fan and belong to a board called the DIS - that is a whole other set of accronyms! (really basic ones include MK=Magic Kindom, HS="Disney's Hollywood Studios" and some of the more complicated ASSR = "All Star Sports Resort", MVMCP = "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party", DP = "Dining Plan" and on and on and on!)

When I was on the political boards, every post was a well thought out paragraph. And every post took ten minutes to compose. And every post required concentration to read. We learned a lot from each other whether it was fact or opinion. It was very intellectually stimulating.
But it wasn't always fun.
Aren't fan boards supposed to be fun?
Bring on the acronyms! Never stop.

All one has to do is ask. I've never seen the responses delayed. The internet is full of acronyms, especially Twitter. Chunkey used to have an acronym dictionary on her site. I wonder if it's still there? I will check and then steal it! ;D yes of course, one can ask. But honestly, I have no desire to learn the shortened versions of the words these things stand for. That was the first tweet, then they tweeted about the Adam/Xtina collab right afterwards. Apparently it was the product of their "dig for more info."

I believe they tweeted this a little while BEFORE the Xtina tweet. I interpretted as they were going to ask and find out if the label people would tell them anything and then tweeted a little later with what they found out.... ETA: Looks like whatfun is faster then I am!
