Some xtina fans are actually very very nice, smart, and respectful. It's the meanies who suck. @siamusic @habibo_3 I had a firmly established fan base before I wrote 4 songs for xtina. ... may be Adam fans are getting to her...may be she is not used to the attention of the passionate and irrational kind... the timing is telling IMO... but smells of "not too smart" of an attitude to put it mildly... Sia was really upset with the Xtina fans this afternoon. She tweeted some pretty nasty stuff Herself. I find it very odd the RCA Ed didn't stop the rumor but Sia said She got a text from Adam? The media is already reporting this story. How would a text from Adam to Sia stop the rumors. I don't follow Sia is She such a huge star that the media is going to pick up Her tweet and shut the rumor down. Until I hear from Adam via twitter or from someone official I think this is a rumor started by a Radio station that was at a meeting that RCA ED did confirm. I see no reason why they would be so hell bent on saying this was what they were told. I am still catching up on today's news but 933 FLZ never claimed that they heard that Adam recorded a duet with Christina from RCA. They had meetings with RCA, tweeted that RCA said nothing about Adam, got lots of Adam fan tweets and responded that they would dig a bit deeper, and then tweeted that a "little bird" told them. Has anyone at 933 said they heard this from someone at RCA? |

First I'm hearing of it, guys, but you have to remember I'm at the tail-end of the music delivery food chain (digital marketing) and therefore not keeping tabs on the album creation and recording process. That process typically finds the artists collaborating with gazillions of people, but not all those liaisons always result in material for the final product, so word of them WILL more often than not take the shape of leaks instead of official announcements. JazzRocks, you are certainly not a party of one. Adam is of course my favorite voice, but his music has not always been my favorite genre (but still love it), but I cannot live on Adam alone. I love Sinatra and frequently enjoy shuffling through my "standards" playlist. I hope that Adam has the longevity in his career that affords him the opportunity to record in this genre (if he wants to) and many more (classical, soulful blues, showtunes, duets, collabs). So much to look forward to!

She's offbeat and can be bizarre, to say the least. I'm not a Sia apologist by any means--don't think she needs defending anyway and she can more than take care of herself. But apparently she feels she's been repeatedly harassed for a very long time by Christina fans, a few in particular. She's commented in the past about having to block them. Some of them are vicious. Some seem to hate her, call her all kinds of awful names, and think she should be "grateful" for "everything Christina's done for her" and that she "owes them her career." It'd probably be best just to ignore them and put the force fields up, but everyone has a different breaking point. Sia has commented today that she "loves and appreciates and treasures" her own fans and the fan base she's developed over the years. She talked in her tweets about not wanting "inherited fans" because they don't "get her." After her illness, she apparently decided that she doesn't want to be famous and she's talked a bit in the past year or so about retiring from the performance side of music and just being a songwriter, since that's what pays her bills and she claims she doesn't make money recording. I'm disappointed that the duet rumor may not be true. Hopefully we'll hear some other exciting CD news soon. |
