Wow, Gaga says an album shouldn't cost more than 99 cents. I still wonder what she would have sold without the Amazon deal. My guess is that about half of the Amazon sales would have occurred somewhere else or their at the real price. That would make the sales total 900,000 or so. No longer record setting. |

Wonder if she'd feel the same way if she only received a percentage of the 99 cents!?? EXACTLY! She got her $7 odd dollars per unit. The few comments with this article agree that digital music costs too much. I'm afraid many people think that what they are paying for is the disk and the packaging. What about the immense amount of time and money that goes into recording the music? Intellectual property anyone? That's like saying that the cost of an oil painting should pretty much just cover the canvas, paint and frame. |

Well I am one Gaga fan who is not a fan of this album and did not even want to spend $0.99 for it.
But I would pay $30 for a new AFL album right now!

I actually have thought about this and I would have to add one more thing to the list. If I buy a ticket to see the artist perform I deserve to see them perform...not sing a song or two get pissed and storm off stage. That thought is 100% reserved for Axl Rose because I think he did this a few times back in the day. I am 100% sure that Adam would not do this. Also, not that I deserve this, but coming on stage at a reasonable hour would be nice. Axl performed here a few years ago and came on stage so late that the show ended at 1:30AM on a weeknight. I was not at that show because I had already formed the above opinion about him and decided he would never get one more penny of my money. I felt justified in my decision after that!! If while performing the artist simply cannot go on for any reputable reason that's different and totally understandable. Sorry for the rant...back to regularly planned Adam stanning! ;D Have we found him yet? |

JazzRocks, grandduchesspf and Gelly - I'm thrilled that you all liked my Randy Crawford vids that I posted earlier in the thread. She is indeed awesome. I gather that she has had reasonable success worldwide - just not in the US. Sound familiar? There are so many people here that have the most incredible in-depth knowledge of all genres of artists and the music business, that I stand in awe of and sometimes I'm a little embarrassed to share my likes and dislikes. I know jack shit about musicality, tones, breathing etc (although Cassie has taught me heaps), but I know what I like to listen to - what soothes, mellows and chills me out. And what makes me leap out of my seat and daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnce like a demented thing. Not everyone's cup of tea but this is another favourite lady of mine with an INCREDIBLE voice from the same era - also recommended to me by my gay friend at the record store. so perhaps she texted him that his "delusionally entitled" fans are wondering about an Xtina-Adam duet rumor and then gleefully reported that it is not a fact. BLAH. >:( I not really impressed with how She presents Herself. Even if fans were tweeting Her was this really the only way to stop them? >:( @siamusic I was not making a blanket statement. Some xtina fans are actually very very nice, smart, and respectful. It's the meanies who suck. @siamusic @habibo_3 I had a firmly established fan base before I wrote 4 songs for xtina.
