BeckPatrick indybeck71 RCA Ed has responded on Adam Official re Adam/Xtina duet www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2010738 Basically, he ain't saying. BeckPatrick indybeck71 But Ed did say he would let us know when when he knows/gets confirmation of duet that he can release. Expected, but a response. Re: Attn Ed: Adam & Christina Duet True? Tampa Radio Station Spilled It! First I'm hearing of it, guys, but you have to remember I'm at the tail-end of the music delivery food chain (digital marketing) and therefore not keeping tabs on the album creation and recording process. That process typically finds the artists collaborating with gazillions of people, but not all those liaisons always result in material for the final product, so word of them WILL more often than not take the shape of leaks instead of official announcements. I'll definitely drop in with confirmation of this if I get it, as I do product manage Christina as well as Adam.

I could personally care less about a duet with X-tina. IMHO, she has a massive ego and would try to overpower Adam and riff him to death to shine the most. I think she has suffered from the Britney and Gaga career comparisons and does everything to show how great her voice is. A voice she has - but her humanity and persona are lacking. A little humility would go a long way. It is very possible with her last album and tour setback, may have humbled her some. But I doubt it. X-tina does not reach my soul as do many of the pop divas. Guess my male divo love is showing. I love Christina but I agree with you about her trying to outdo him. I've never seen her duet with anyone that she didn't try to overpower. As for the comparisons - Britney can't sing and really became famous for shaking her ass and pretending to be a virgin. Christina, the better singer obviously, was always seen as the "back up" teen idol. Christina won the grammy for BNA against Britney so that probably helped sooth some of her hurt over being lumped in with someone who was/is basically a stripper who got a recording contract. Gaga - well Gaga has ripped off so many other artists, Christina included that the comparisons would irk me too if I were Christina. Christina was cutting edge and a rebel long before anyone had heard Gaga's name. Christina always took chances with her style and her performances but she nevr let her vocals suffer and she never showed up to the Grammy's in a fucking egg so for me, Christina will always be superior to Gaga. As for Christina's humility, I've followed Christina since the beginning of her career and I've always found her to be sweet in her interviews. She doesn't need to exhibit false modesty to seem humble in my opinion. She's one of the best and she rightfully knows it. She's a seriously gifted vocalist and a badass woman who does what she wants and doesn't care if that makes her look like a bitch. I respect that from her just like I respect it from the male artists I admire. and wonderstruck. I'd say the same about you. Luv Ya.

Oh no...I hope Adam fans don't start demanding some sort of apology. These are the types of things that cause radio stations to dislike certain fan groups. The station relayed information that "a little bird told them". They didn't insult or attack Adam or any of his fans. The station was asked by fans if they knew anything concerning Adam #2 and they relayed a rumor they had heard. It is a fun rumor! It's not the end of the world if it isn't true! I just look at it as something to think about and consider and that's all. No one owes me an apology because I got my hopes up over something as iffy as "a little bird told us". No harm, no foul. Oh, RCA Ed- I haven't missed you. Go back to Cookland and insult deal with DC's fans! >:(

I'm not a Xtina fan (must of missed her heyday somewhere along the decades ) and I also need to join Nica and the others that didn't find Adele's live SLY inspiring. Sorry all, but I tried to watch a couple of weeks ago when it was originally posted and then again today when many were applauding her performance. I get that she is sincere, puts her all into it and it is a heartfelt performance, but (shock, quelle horror) I got bored both times and never made the end. Now, in saying that, I absolutely friggin adore Rolling in the Deep .../ Same for me - ALL of it. I love RITD but am not in love with Adele's voice generally. I too tried to listen to the posted video 2X and didn't get through it. She sings very emotionally, yes, but there is something about her voice that I find a little unpleasant. But she's the golden girl now so - whatever. OTOH - I LOVE the vids you posted of Randy Crawford!!! She is absolutely sublime and I will search her out. Thanks!

If radio hears something that turns out to be false and in their excitement they relay that information oh well.... at least they are interested enough to get excited and talk about Adam and his music. I'd never feel I'm owed an apology unless something is directed at me personally.

They were just relaying info they got or thought they got. There was no evil intent. IMO, the longer Adam goes without refuting this rumor, the more true it becomes in my eyes. Adam often says more by not saying something.

Q3 you are amazing.I'm always blown away by your knowledge. The situation you're describing has bothered me for quite some time.I keep seeing recored stores disappear. In my eyes this has social consequences as well.Record/book stores are not only places to purchase items but also a place to discover news music and meet new people with similar interests.I remember when I was a child there was a record store my friends and I used to go to all of the time.It was kind of a gathering place. Now I think a lot of people discover music through the internet. But somehow I have the feeling that the music people are exposed to is more limited.Meaning, if the radio plays only certain music and there are hardly any records stores where workers will recommend bands/artists then the it's up to the consumer to "haunt" for new artists. Not everyone does that. One of my friends kinda gave up and she mostly listens to artists she likes and hardly any new music. Sorry for the long post, It's just a subject that's important to me. I agree completely, I discovered some of my favorite artist in record stores. Now I do get a lot of online referrals and discover new artists. Somehow it is not the same as a live, personal referral. I had to add my agreement to pain of loss of corner book and record stores. When I lived in Key West, even though we had a decent size record store and 2 smaller independents, we used to drive 52 miles up to Marathon to a tiny (TINY) place called Blind Harry's (named after a dog, not the owner) and it was so cool to be able to find old as well as new releases. And, if you were looking for something in particular, they would find it and order it for you. Everything is so generic now. I remember thinking B & N was cool in the beginning because it was big, had a Starbucks, etc, but once the novelty wore off, I went back to smaller places that are now gone... I know, partially my fault. Now where do I find the Vogues or Jaco Patorius or Ira Sullivan ????
