It will be interesting to see Cook's first week sales. I've read on other sites (but find it hard to believe) that Cook's fan base is larger than Adam's so his initial sales should give some indication of what to expect for Adam2's first week. In the US only of course as Cook isn't really known abroad afaik. I do not think much can be learned from Cook's sales -- except that without a hit single, it is hard to grow your fanbase and sell albums. I think David Cook certainly left Idol with more fans than Adam. He was hugely popular. But I am not sure that he has kept those fans over the past 3 years. Plus, the sales of his single are not encouraging and his album is not having a strong presale. So he is releasing an album with close to no radio support after having been off the radio charts for 2 years. His biggest hit was TOML -- from the Idol final 3 years ago. His style of neo grundge, light rock is a declining genre. My bet is that Cook will have trouble selling 500K units in the US because only fans know about this album. No radio hit. His two Idol performances didn't increase his sales much. Even VH1 didn't put his music video into their rotation. But maybe RCA has a secret plan for Cook's promotion and they do have 3 weeks left. One thing is certain about Cook -- he has a lot of loyal fans and he is very competitive. Adam has a very different career trajectory. He did not get the "winner's sales bump", he did not have a big hit coming off of Idol. Instead, he had two Top 40 hits in 2010. His is likely to put out an album that is more current and more commercial. I will make a bet on Adam's sales when I hear the album. But I expect that he will deliver something radio-friendly to RCA and will almost certainly have a follow-up mid-tempo ballad for HAC-AC radio.

Hey - I'm not sorry in the least that I brought up my concerns questions about Adam2. if I can't do it here where can I do it? I like to discuss all aspects of Adam's career and, knowing little of current pop music (but learning), I thought it was appropriate for me to ask. It spurred conversation when there's not much else going on. That we KNOW about. I agree he sounds happy, excited and he "feels creative". So it's all good. As for Cook, I was a fan during S7 but haven't liked his post-Idol music. I wish him success. Not competition for Adam perhaps but it will always be relevant to those in the Idol bubble. That's NOT me btw.

Since adamrocks mentioned she wanted mp4s of the Moscow concert I made mp4 from the whole concert. Just some info. I watched each and every vid for a week now and I decided that the best vids come all from one YT channel militaryjanne's Great audio, video, good close ups and also great view of the crowd. Of course this is only my opinion, LOL. I only included another WLL from walerica89 just because from 1.50 and after, the close ups are amazing but it is cut at the end, there are 30 sec missing I think. It is the first one on my mediafire. The other WLL says WLL COMPLETE. So if someone wants to download them feel free to do so. MOSCOW CONCERT MP4 FOR DOWNLOADwww.mediafire.com/?r=1213#v75anvq8b7xxq,1

I find it interesting the press is asking for Adam to confirm the rumor, not Xtina. SYTYCD Season 8 Finale should be good timing for Adam. Will Adam appear disloyal to American Idol if he appears on X-Factor? Does it tell us anything about Adam 2 that they are releasing in the Fall and not the Summer? Was there not a summer single? Earlier in the year the single was referred to as late Summer -- but since November 2010 Adam has said Fall single. In the recording business Fall usually means Aug-October. Album slated for November 2011.

Just catching up on the last day or two to say...
a) love Sia, she has seemed to me especially open and trusting of strangers on twitter in the past (asking for help with her pets, furnishing her apt., etc.) the flip side of this is that someone who communicates in this way would possibly not have the "professional distance" from crazier twitter comments/responses that someone like Adam would, and might use the block function or "speak frankly" more.
b) corollary to that, I've noticed a fair number of comments about pop divas needing "humility" or being "too big for their britches" etc. on this board directed at female performers, and it uncomfortably reminds me of the tall poppy syndrome: or women cutting down other women who succeed above their peers (it happens with many other in-groups as well). I just scroll, but it'd been bothering me and I just wanted to throw that out there.
c) Regardless of how people might feel personally about it, Adam has said that he wants to sing with Xtina. By going to twitter himself to shut down this rumor, however it got started, he effectively ends the news cycle and the fan excitement, and any small pressure this might put on Xtina and TPB to see what might be possible.
He might not have any plans for collaborating with her YET.
His text to Sia will get out to the hardcore stans, and calm them down a bit (so they maybe leave her alone), but not the general public as much. In the meantime he can put feelers out (or Xtina can, depending on her feelings about it), and decide if something, a live performance, a studio session, etc. might be doable.
In the meantime, there is a small gossip cycle including Maxidrom pics, a focus on both their voices, so it's all good.
Both of them can deny it at some point sooner or later if they wish, but it's a slightly tricky thing. How to do it in a positive way while leaving the door open to possibly collaborate in the future?

That's NOT me btw. We're primarily a bunch of women, so of course we discuss this stuff to death. Hopefully, those of us who are anxious will feel a little better hearing that some of the rest of us aren't worried at all. Good reality check for all of us (I have at times in my life been appropriately accused of of being overly optimistic). I'm still listening to the JoyThemeParty- Aftermath Remix on now. I really like the way that one came out. Wish it got played more.
