Hey - I'm not sorry in the least that I brought up my concerns questions about Adam2. if I can't do it here where can I do it? I like to discuss all aspects of Adam's career and, knowing little of current pop music (but learning), I thought it was appropriate for me to ask. It spurred conversation when there's not much else going on. That we KNOW about.  I agree he sounds happy, excited and he "feels creative". So it's all good. As for Cook, I was a fan during S7 but haven't liked his post-Idol music. I wish him success. Not competition for Adam perhaps but it will always be relevant to those in the Idol bubble. That's NOT me btw. I think it was a great question. It made me actually look at the songs that are radio hits. I really hadn't looked at the shift -- it really looks like there is a split in US Radio -- on one side is Country-Pop and on the other side is Hip-Hop/Electro-Pop. Rock (in all its forms) is still selling but it is mostly catalog artists not new artists. And it is hard to find any white (non-latin) male singers on the Top 40 songs on US radio who are not Country artists:

and Q3: Just wondering, doesn't the first statement worry you as far as Adam fighting for the few spots on the Top 40 that go to males who aren't 1. hip-hop/rap or 2. R&B? I have to admit, it concerns me. I really hope Adam can have another song like WWFM! Why must we teach the newbies again and again? See Adam rule #1-- TAKE PICS!!! See Adam rule #2-- ASK WHO HE'S WORKING WITH!!!! See Adam rule #3-- NOTICE WHO HE'S WITH-- hair color, eye color, height, boot size, etc., etc.... See Adam rule #4-- TAKE PICS!!!!!!!!!! There should be an international boot camp in September at the latest so everyone is proficient by the time the # 2 is released and Adam is wandering around the world. Fandom rules need to be more stringent or you don't get your certification. Okay, last night was middle school graduation, today was granddaughter's 495 person h s graduation, hot sun, 5 speakers, lots of post-ceremony pics. Now onto bday party at Build a Bear for littlest, then soccer playoff game for middle one. This grandma stuff can be hard work.... Tonight grad party. I'll be slipping ACOUSTIC EP onto the ÇD rotation. Told granddaughter and she laughed and said, "Whatever! Didn't want to encourage you, but some of my friends are Adam fans." Just as she isn't going to Alabama because we're fanatics (going to Ohio State), she also isn't big Adam fan, probably because I am. Other than that, she's pretty perfect. See y'all tomorrow. Glad we found Adam, I was getting worried he had slipped into Finland unnoticed. |
