Since adamrocks mentioned she wanted mp4s of the Moscow concert I made mp4 from the whole concert. Just some info. I watched each and every vid for a week now and I decided that the best vids come all from one YT channel militaryjanne's Great audio, video, good close ups and also great view of the crowd. Of course this is only my opinion, LOL. I only included another WLL from walerica89 just because from 1.50 and after, the close ups are amazing but it is cut at the end, there are 30 sec missing I think. It is the first one on my mediafire. The other WLL says WLL COMPLETE. So if someone wants to download them feel free to do so. ONE YEAR LATER
I was in Baltimore on business a year ago. On the spur of the moment decided to go to Stubhub and see if there were any tickets for Adam's first concert in Wilkes-Barre, PA, a 3 hour drive. I wanted to witness AFL's first tour date and and then study how he changed up the show on later tour dates. Made the Wilkes-Barre concert with just a few minutes to spare. Barely make it through the opening acts and spent some of that time in the lobby looking at his new merchandise.
Couldn't believe AFL had short white sleeves on one of his costumes. Then couldn't believe the sleeves popped out during one of his performances - so funny. Heard Broken Open and it was magnificent (my early favorite on FYE album). Went to another 5 concerts months later and he was so much more polished, the band and dancing tight. Can't believe it's already a year later.
"Hi" to everyone who I met at Wilkes Barre, Richmond, Norfolk, Charlotte, and Raleigh, NC concerts including fans from Asia and South Africa. The night of the Raleigh concert was the sad night Planet Fierce site went down but a lot of us met up before the concert to celebrate that site's founding and Roe's work. And earlier in the day happened on Monte walking about near the venue and got a nice photo and chance to talk about his new album. Great, great guy! Glad to see so many former Planet Fierce people have migrated here to Atop!

I find the comparisons difficult because Adam is wholly unique – as game changers are. I think the fact that he went through a slow, but respectable climb bodes well for A2. Those who feel he didn't "earn" his place (reality show backlash), will have softened a bit. His radio promo/touring schedule proves he has an incredible work ethic and is willing to do whatever needs to be done. Just a year ago, with the dominance of sex, sex and more sex with the pop princesses, would anyone have predicted Adele's success? Maybe it's naive of me, but I have to believe that quality WILL find an audience. Sometimes it is word-of-mouth (as this article credits for Adele's success). Adam being authentic is a very compelling force. I sure hope you're right. I get very frustrated when I hear some of what passes for popular music these days, especially vocals that are autotuned up the wazoo. I really want to believe that a true talent like Adam cannot be denied a chance for superstardom. Not that superstardom is the most important goal, but it just seems that with Adam's voice and looks and magnetism, superstardom is inevitable if there are enough listeners out there with any taste at all. |

Gelly - I didn't just 'witness' it - I was physically buried in BB's body for a few short seconds. It all happened REALLY fast. It's just a shame I remember so little *so very dazed and confused* Josierose (who had his t'other side) and I were like FUCK YEAH!!! at the time. This photo has never been posted before ANYWHERE. I took this photo pre Adam coming on stage in Sydney. This dude, if I recall correctly, and was two people behind me was the recipient of the second tongue dive at Sydney.  I can remember making this dude pose AFTER the concert so I had pics for posterity, but my frigging camera refused to work. *please refer to Adam's tongue dive over me for explanation as to why my camera didn't friggin work* wow... no wonder BB wend "diving" over several rows!!! Catz- great positioning on your part folks, is Katie's 6 hour program still on? and if yes - how do I find it? I see the donation link, but can;t find the "listen" button... thx! |
