Am I the only one who finds the way these ppl pimp out their baby is just plain tacky? I mean they can do whatever they want--I don't give a shit about any of these peripheral people--but the way they seem to pimp out every thing this kid does online, knowing that Adam's fanbase is gonna be all over it, just gives me the heebee jeebies. Esp since there are a lot of mentally unbalanced fans out there. I dunno if they do it for attention from the fans or if they are tweeting this stuff to legit friends and family and the fans just spread it around...but I find it unsavory. It's like, the poor kid doesn't even have a choice whether or not he wants all of his baby pics being seen by tons of strangers...just....it's weird. But whatever, they can do what they want. Their life, not mine. EDIT: Ok I didn't know the kid has it's own FREAKIN TWITTER PAGE. Ugh, LOL. He may be able to take pretty pics (Lee, not the baby. LOL) and that's great but...no. Just...no. Seems like blatant attention whoring to me. YMMV I think they're just proud parents in a time when internet is such a great place to play!

Susie--I see your point. I guess I just think that when you KNOW you are connected to someone famous with a rabid fanbase--who disseminate every tiny bit of info somehow related to that person--then it's a bit of a different issue. Esp when you give the kid his own twitter page like the darn kid's a celeb in his own right or something. Though I guess that's not their problem, they can't help that fact...but they somehow still seem to be promoting it. I duno...like I said, they can do whatever they want but it will always make me 0_o I think they initially muddied the water with the labor of love kickstarter. That was a fundraising and fanbase building endeavor which funnily enough, was indirectly connected with Scarlett's pregnancy. So fan connections were made and cultivated, there was the listening party, the album promo, it was all about being a new mother, Riff was shown off at the party... etc. It is a slippery slope though, and I hope and assume that the Cherry's are aware of that. (Actually Lee has said no to fans asking for photo's of Sauli and Riff... so maybe they are starting to draw lines.) I gotta admit I find babies entirely uninteresting but do realize there is a large segment of the female population that seems to find them fair game and loves showing them off publicly, so...

I'm trying to find a couple of Adam pics. One was the silhouette of Adam from the back wearing his AI8 Tour jacket where he hand his right arm (I think) up in the air and the other was a recent pic someone posted that looked a lot like it but was a more recent pic? They remind me so much of a pic I saw of Freddie Mercury standing the same way. Anybody know what I'm talking about? ??? lol I'm behind and don't have the pic yet, but it's from the Rolling Stone article done the day of the GMA concert.

Cassie, here are a couple of samples of her singing. The first is from 1999 and the second was at the Grammys in 2011. LIVE La Academia 2002 Mexico "Impossible" Christina Aguilera www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Xhj-dW4iw2011 Grammys www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqAiQhsGwcUThere is clearly a change in style but I get the impression that she is pushing too hard in her upper range and is shrill and sharp, almost screaming and a bit out of control. Her signature in the late 90's early 00's was her range and power -- particularly her powerful high notes. For the most part, it just seemed to come naturally to her. Over time, I have noticed that she is less relaxed and seems to be shifting into that unpleasant scream sometimes. I was wondering if she could have actually been singing too high and too loud for years, and now be paying for that. And than making it worse by trying to overcompensate for it.

IGB Google Chrome vid is airing in UK; the YT has 246 dislikes. WTAF???? Please watch and LIKE. Research in the UK has shown that two thirds of young gay, lesbian and bisexual pupils have experienced direct bullying in Britain’s schools. 92% of 1,145 lesbian, gay and bisexual pupils reported being subject to verbal abuse, and 41% had been physically assaulted. Less than a quarter (23 per cent) of young gay people have been told that homophobic bullying is wrong in their school. In schools that have said homophobic bullying is wrong, gay young people are 60 per cent more likely not to have been bullied. Link: www.stonewall.org.uk/education_for_all/research/1790.aspThis is only tangentially related, but I saw it the other day when we were talking about Russia and forgot to post. It's a summary of a survey in the Advocate about changing attitudes towards homosexuality worldwide: www.advocate.com/News/Daily_News/2011/05/30/Survey_World_Becoming_More_Accepting/"The study finds that "overwhelmingly, societies have become more accepting of homosexual behavior." Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and Belgium-Flanders (are) the most accepting. Four countries -- Russia, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, and Latvia -- were the only nations to show a decrease in acceptance. The study also shows more acceptance among younger adults, those with more education, those who attend religious services less often, and city dwellers. " ETA: according to the study, the UK is the fifth most accepting country and the US is 8th or 9th. (we are one of the countries with the most extreme opinions at either end).

No, I saw the still of that as well. I think it was right after the finger and the expression was a very sheepish "oh, well, what are you gonna do?" look. I just rewatched the original live broadcast recording --- Oddly, the vocals were better than I remembered. Not up to Adam level and uneven, but not horrible. And the whole thing really looks just silly to me -- still. Foolishly staged and choreographed. Too much going on. And that song was really not written for Adam to sing. And I hate the arrangement. But, in any case, the live broadcast ended with a close up of Adam out of breath. Then they cut away. I always thought the vocals were better than everyone said too. Not up to par with Adam's usual, but not as bad as I read before I watched it myself. I was out for the night so didn't get to watch any stream or You Tubes until after it was recorded on my DVR. So, I read all the on-line stuff first, then watched it and was not as ready to jump off the ledge as everyone else. I even had to rewind the fall and watch it about 10 times. I still wasn't convinced it wasn't a choreographed move!

Oddly, the vocals were better than I remembered. Not up to Adam level and uneven, but not horrible. Adam's worst vocals are still better than a lot of people's best vocals. This is a new day and age. A lot of people put their kids' pictures online, and I think the Cherrys have as much right to do so as anyone despite the bigger audience for them. I love getting the new pics of little Riff. Don't have a problem with it at all. If he wasn't a photographer, I might think it was weird, but "Nah!" I think it's fine. If Scarlett didn't have that delivery emergency, he probably would have put the birth on You Tube!!
