I wanted Adam to sing the whole "We are the Champions" song by himself. >:( ONCE just ONCE... I want him to sing all Queen's Greatest songs with Queen (Brian May & Roger Taylor) in a Queen Concert with Adam Lambert as a guest singer. I can just imagine on Adam on stage singing: We Will Rock You Somebody to Love Save Me - accoustic with Brian May Another On Bites the Dust Don't Stop Me Now We Are The Champion Crazy Little Thing Called Love You're My Bestfriend Killer Queen Play the Game and Bohemian Rhapsody ETA:.. off course.. UNDER PRESSURE My laugh of the weekend was my 14yr old nephew showing up for a BBQ tonight with a David Bowie T shirt he said he thinks he got at Hot Topic and when I walked up to him an hour later and asked what he was listening to he said it was UNDER PRESSURE. I looked, and sure enough it was Queen and Bowie. It gave me hope for the future since he's just a typical soccer, basketball, cross country, Call to Duty playing kid. He also told me he has Queen, Beatles, Beastie Boys, and The Kinks T shirts because their music is so much cooler than all the junk that's on most stations. I have to agree. I asked about Ådam and he knows who he is and likes FEVER and IIHY but said WWFM is just too girly for him. Give him a break though, he's just finishing up 8th grade and even though he's tall and the voice is changing, he'd still rather be outrageous and goofy with the guys than be mushy with the girls.

Yeah. Just wait until he figures out the benefits of strategic mushiness.

It will be interesting to see Cook's first week sales. I've read on other sites (but find it hard to believe) that Cook's fan base is larger than Adam's so his initial sales should give some indication of what to expect for Adam2's first week. In the US only of course as Cook isn't really known abroad afaik. Don't care about any idols but Adam, but who said Cook's fanbase is bigger than Adam's and what is that opinion based on ? Idle curiosity 8-) :

I just finished watching VALENTINES DAY with my sister and had to laugh at Taylor Swift's song on the soundtrack. First of all, she seems like a cute, sweet girl, but wow, how bad and simplistic is her music. The public often gets what it deserves. LOL, true, lifeguard. By saying I HOPE quality finds an audience I am not discounting the fact that crap gets a free pass every other minute. Because it does. And it's frustrating as hell. Can the world spot a gold nugget glistening amid a pile of shit? (Sorry for the graphic analogy), but it seems like many do and the others (haters) do as well, but their job is to kick more crap over the brilliance in an attempt to diminish it. I still think that nugget of brilliance will stand out once everything has run its course, because it's real. Oh, Susie - I think brilliance will emerge. I know it is happening for me. This forum has brought artists I never knew existed into my life. Nikka Costa, Sia, Robyn, Ferras - - - inspired by Adam. Thanks to other Topians, I'm listening to Sam Harris, Don Shirley Trio, Jane Olivor, Randy Crawford . . . and, I wonder - where have I been? Was I lost in the quagmire of raising kids and career, losing music, missing this beauty and this desire until Adam reawakened this passion? I'm not sure. But, I can tell you that we'll only spot 'the gold nugget, glistening' if we find a way to begin, anew, searching for this beauty in our lives. We can't settle for soil; we need to explore what lies under that surface. It will emerge. The brilliance is there! It was lost to me for longer than I care to say. Never again. And I don't think I'm the only one. Like you, I have hope.
