It will be interesting to see Cook's first week sales. I've read on other sites (but find it hard to believe) that Cook's fan base is larger than Adam's so his initial sales should give some indication of what to expect for Adam2's first week. In the US only of course as Cook isn't really known abroad afaik. Don't care about any idols but Adam, but who said Cook's fanbase is bigger than Adam's and what is that opinion based on ? Idle curiosity 8-) :  Discussed it a bit earlier in the thread. Thought was, his fans were saying that because of his sales on album #1. |

I think moms get 'lost' for about 20 years and then suddenly we rediscover ourselves. At least that's what happened to me. It started quietly and slowly with the interest being sparked by another artist, and I remembered, "Oh ya! That's right, I used to go to concerts all the time before we had kids. Oh ya, that's right... I love to dance! Now I remember, I love Pop music!"
Now I average a concert a month. And this year, none are Adam!

I don't worry about Adam and his future songs.. I remember what Monte said a while back. Something like, For fun, I would give Adam the worst songs and somehow he would change them up and make them sound great. Can you imagine how successful Adam will be with great material.Just look how he changed up the songs from his first album. Selling over a million cds around the world,etc. is not chopped liver. IMO The best thing is for Adam to be a different type of singer,original ,not like what's on the air now.. Good voices seem to be making a come back, and no one out there can out sing Adam.Like our favorite singer" I TRUST". ITA -- I want Adam to create great songs that showcase his voice. The biggest way to kill a music career is to try to clone what is popular. But some songs are so bad even Adam can't make them great -- example: "A Loaded Smile". All I hope is that he stays far away from Linda Perry this time. Q3, that is a song I absolutely LOVED on the album, what do you mean it's a bad song ? That's just your opinion, right ??? :-[ :-/  |

Is he in Miami? I assume MIA is Miami Int'l Airport. ??? And FAIL again. PIX? Def need a class in "correct procedure when spotting AFL in public." Or something like that. :-/ >:(

Am I the only one who finds the way these ppl pimp out their baby is just plain tacky? I mean they can do whatever they want--I don't give a shit about any of these peripheral people--but the way they seem to pimp out every thing this kid does online, knowing that Adam's fanbase is gonna be all over it, just gives me the heebee jeebies. Esp since there are a lot of mentally unbalanced fans out there. I dunno if they do it for attention from the fans or if they are tweeting this stuff to legit friends and family and the fans just spread it around...but I find it unsavory. It's like, the poor kid doesn't even have a choice whether or not he wants all of his baby pics being seen by tons of strangers...just....it's weird. But whatever, they can do what they want. Their life, not mine. EDIT: Ok I didn't know the kid has it's own FREAKIN TWITTER PAGE. Ugh, LOL. He may be able to take pretty pics (Lee, not the baby. LOL) and that's great but...no. Just...no. Seems like blatant attention whoring to me. YMMV You're definitely NOT the only one, I find it kind of distressing and feel sorry for the kid, that's a LOT of pressure etc...on a baby...JMHO of course...  ??? |
