This seems more realistic, when looking at how RCA usually does things. They did get DC's lead single and the accompanying mv out for Cook in plenty of time before his album release- it's just not doing too well. The new song and Cook's new image don't seem to be clicking with radio listeners, and even some of his fans. He has a long road ahead of him. From a HARD-CORE Cookstan at MJs:

Spammng (sorry). I know very little about the pop music business, but I have been "concerned" about the people he has been working with. Am I being silly? There just don't seem to be many top hit-makers among them. You guys who know much more than I do (and especially Q3) - do you think his collabs so far have been his choice? Do you think some of the big names associated with FYE passed on working on Adam2? Do you think it's financial? (I assume he got a pretty good advance based on sales of FYE - certainly way more than KA) Shoot me down. I'm sure Q3 will break it down in numbers, but just wondering what makes you think anyone has "passed" on collaborating? Bonnie McKee and Claude Kelly are the co-writers of the ENORMOUS hits "Teenage Dream," "California Gurls," (Bonnie) and "Grenade" (Claude) from last year. Max Martin produced much of Katy's smash album. Adam said he was going to work with him. Ryan Tedder has produced many huge hits and sure he's worked with a lot of Idols, but he also wrote and produced Beyonce's "Halo." This Ginny writer may have submitted some songs to Adam and he wants to collab with her. We have no idea who else Adam worked with in London. Adam is emphatic about creating and contributing the lion's share of his own material. When you write with someone, a lot of variables have to work – chemistry being key among them. I think that this is a great answer. Just a couple of other thoughts. FYE was filled with left over tracks that other artists had not used on their albums -- Fever, Soaked, WWFM, FYE, etc. We will not see that on Adam #2. Adam has said he is co-writing almost all the songs. (Likely exception will be Max Martin & Co.) I am very pleased with who he is working with so far and the list of co-writers and producers indicates that he can work with almost anyone he wants.

It will be interesting to see Cook's first week sales. I've read on other sites (but find it hard to believe) that Cook's fan base is larger than Adam's so his initial sales should give some indication of what to expect for Adam2's first week. In the US only of course as Cook isn't really known abroad afaik.

I have been wondering the exact same things, but I am a gutless wonder and was afraid to post. I will stand behind you while peeps throw things at you HaHa! Glad to know I'm not totally alone. I was skered to ask the questions too because I know it makes me sound angsty and "on the ledge" as myspenser said. But I finally decided to take the plunge. Got some good answers so it was worth it. And yes, I do know that the Max Martin collab will probably happen. I hope so. I still don't know where the worry is coming from. Adam sounds over the moon about how things are going and it seems like he is getting his A-list wish list; with a few out-of-the-box selections, which adds to the complexity, I would imagine. He wants to be integral in this entire creation and he wants it to be not only successful, but a critical success as well. He has a major goal before him and has never looked or sounded better than he did last week. The man is HAPPY and tearing it up from everything I've able to observe.

Adam Lambert wraps up work in London Adam Lambert has been pretty quiet on his twitter account over the last couple of days, but today he informed fans that he is leaving London: “Farewell London!”He gave no indication if he is heading back home to Los Angeles or not. Given that he is busy working on his sophomore album, it is possible that he will be travelling to another country in Europe to work with local producers/artists. Or, he may stop in Finland while abroad with his Finnish boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, who joined him while in London. It was previously reported that Adam was collaborating with Ginny Blackmore while in London, as she had tweeted a couple of days ago that she was in the studio with him. (That tweet has since been deleted.) Yet, this morning she tweeted to Adam directly: “@adamlambert u lava flow u!!!” “this week just gets better and better. I feel like I did something right and life is rewarding me!!” www.examiner.com/adam-lambert-in-na...-up-work-london

I like David, he was my favorite Idol before Adam, but I don't believe this for a second. Twitter isn't a specific or even completely reliable way to measure, but still...Kris has more followers than that. I bet I could find similar results if I did a google search for news items.

I'm sure there are some people who think so ... just a quick comparison of Twitter followers: @thedavidcook: 213,991 @adamlambert: 1,071,962 I think David has been on Twitter longer than Adam or just as long.
