I would like to hear Adam cover something like this, Scorpions, Holiday. Some of their other songs...well most of them, are awesome too. I heard Holiday on Classic Rock in my car the other day and fell in love with them. No surprise...I'm a Scorpio...lmao! Really long musical at the end, but still love it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBzd79EGxngSorry, don't mean to be OT, but really could see/hear Adam rocking this. MHO

Well, the rumor I got using the formula was really boring. So, I thought I would just create my own. Adam Lambert, international pop superstar, was in London last week to meet with the Royal Opera regarding a special benefit performance. Lambert is known for his remarkable range and flamboyant, theatrical performances of pop and rock, but, few know he is actually a classically trained vocalist with years of performance experience in musical theater. An anonymous source reported that the Royal Opera Company wants to attract younger audiences and expose them to classic music, and proposed the idea to Lambert of singing an aria at a benefit performance this fall. Lambert, always eager to challenge and stretch himself, expressed interest. Some members of the company were strongly opposed to this "blatant and vulgar publicity stunt," claiming it would cheapen the reputation of this world-class company. That was until they heard Lambert run through the aria with piano accompaniment. That was all it took for these august opera purists to become "Glamberts." Said one member, "I saw this punk-looking kid with a mop of hair, dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans, wearing eye-liner, and thought we would hear a train wreck or the execution of a cat. But, when he opened his mouth and started singing, the most exquisite, pure, leggiero tenor voice floated out. Stunning! If this guy ever decides to leave the pop world, he has a place in this company any time!" Regrettably, no recording was made of this impromptu performance. We can only hope that negotiations between Lambert and the Royal Opera Company will be successful, and the world will hear a new tenor star at the benefit this fall! I hope this rumour spreads .

gelly14, as I see you are still here...I need some info on the Scorpions. Saw a youtube of them the other night, and followed thru some others. Are they from Greece? Saw they played in your town. I heard some amazing songs & fell in love. Need more info... TY glittergma I'm still here No they're not from Greece, they're German, but they love Greece and they came here countless times. They fill huge stadiums in Greece and in Europe in general. They are very popular in Europe, sold more than 100 millions copies worldwide , play for more than 40 years, and they announced that they are going to retire after this tour. I didn't see them this year but I saw them so many times so I didnt want to see them again. They are very sweet people, despite of their hard rock, metal sound, I saw them many times in interviews and they also come here for vacation. The most popular songs of them are these (sorry no time to search for YT since I have to go and take care of my mom now, but we will talk again if you're interested) Wind of Change Send me an Angel Rock you like a Hurricane Still Loving you This is all for now Thanks, Gelly!! I know *Rock You Like A Hurricane* Have heard it many times. Had not heard *Holiday*, which reminds me of Adam & Sauli...lol!! Have listened to Send me an Angel & Still Loveing You, and will be listening to more. Have to laugh at myself. I thought they were Greek. I'm German, heritage, etc., but really not into metal at all. But, I love their sound & voices. I'm so weird...lol!! Big Hugs to your Mom!!! I miss mine SO much!! ............

As we enter the dead zone - time before new single - time to rest up, conserve energy and get ready for epic flailage when news finally surfaces and leaks of new music start...
Oh and Adam owes me nothing but whatever music so moves him (and the option of occasional gorgeous red carpet appearances...) That is all.
Carry on.

Another great article, NoAngel. I admit to being an Adamstan, but I don't understand why some people feel it is okay to demand he listen to them and believe that they a right to critique everything he does. Cassie said it so well NoAngel Great essay you nailed it once again IMO And I'm quoting stardust and cassie cause THAT'S how I feel. Thank you all three of you.

News that Adele has had to cancel her US tour dates just underlines how important it is for artists to have good technique and take care of their voices - it's not just a talent it is their livelyhood... apparently Adele smokes. My husband who runs security at major music venues and events is constantly amazed at how many singers smoke - usually popping out for a puff before they are due to perform. Frightening when you think about it. So glad Adam quit years ago and now seems to realize how important taking care of his voice is.

I thnk we at Adamtopia have developed into such good friends that we are capable of continuing on with or without constant updates from Adam. In so many words,He said it best a while back ,when he said that we should live our own lives and not try to live through him. I have found that to be great advice, but hard to follow ,wonder how I got by before Adam. Funny when I'm really busy or flying off somewhere,Adam kind of goes into the back ground and I think of him when something reminds me of him in some way.I know I'm addicted but I also know that I'm addicted to You guys. First thing I do in the AM is to see who is up and what y'all are thinking, last thing I do before bed is see who is up and what y'all are thinking. So in essence, I think I'm more addicted to the folks here. When I have trouble with my computer and can't find Atop,I go into a panic. OK,OK I think I can give Adam more breathing room now because my greater addiction is YOU.
