I'd also guess there is a lot of cluelessness going on, even if he is trying to be somewhat clever -

I hope that Adam doesn't meet with him. I don't think he will listen anyway. I can't help but feel a little sorry for him, but he has made his bed, so to speak. I suspect that the label won't let him make a metal album, but I don't know what he thinks Adam could do for him. Adam stay away from this train wreck!!!ITA. But I dont think Adam will meet him. JD was literally spamming him on twitter. I felt with Adam tweets 3 things. Adam being superior, Adam being polite (and perhaps a little sorry for JD) and Adam being snark. My conlusion : Adam is VERY smart to fall for a meeting with JD.

Yeah.....um...so he wanted Daughtry's advice but "settled" for Adam? And he didn't want to talk about it on twitter, but then basically goes on to talk about how he doesn't want to sing someone else's songs, and wants to sing in a style with no commercial appeal in the US "YET" - possibly hinting at an abrupt collision with reality in the form of TPTB after leaving idol? Why do I feel like his PR people purposefully didn't help connect him with Adam or Daughtry or whomever to try to avoid this kind of embarrassment? I teeter between feeling bad for him - the naivete', his disability, and LOLing - the hubris! Durbin tweets more (read bottom to top): JDurbinAI10 James Durbin But I have to be happy playing the stuff night after night. I cant record something unless I feel it way down to my soul! But you know that 1 hour ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply JDurbinAI10 James Durbin I listen to what my fans say and what their opinions are. After all, youre the ones that voted for me & got me here! I wanna make you happy JDurbinAI10 James Durbin My fans know that! I know what I sang on the show! I tried to please everyone.. & Im gonna try to do that on my record..only itll be heavier JDurbinAI10 James Durbin Its what Im into..but as a professional, I am open to the creative ideas that a producer will have. Im pulling for arena rock/hair metal!:-) JDurbinAI10 James Durbin Heavy verses and poppy choruses! The reason you dont see it as a broader appeal is because its not a style thats popular in the US...YET! JDurbinAI10 James Durbin Remember! I dont sound like Jocke Berg in the 1st place. Therefore its not about singing songs "like that" its about having that fun sound JDurbinAI10 James Durbin Im interested in writing music in the same style as Hardcore Superstar, but that doesnt mean that IM singing THEIR songs! JDurbinAI10 James Durbin for the record, I wish Daughtry could give me advice..That would be gooder than good ----------------------- JDurbinAI10 James Durbin Oh the joy! JDurbinAI10 James Durbin To ask that musician.. JDurbinAI10 James Durbin Durbinators! You know my intentions are good! I just wanna sit down w/ a fellow musician & talk about the business But twitters the only way

I wonder if JD is a bit overwhelmed by the Durbinators (among other issues on his plate). You know, how to deal with the pluses and minuses of invested, twitter-using fans.

It's one of those sleepless, restless for nights for me (wish I'd be through with this soon!) So I'm saying this about that ~ James needs to watch every Adam Idol performance at least 100 times (each) + every video on YouTube of Pre-Idol, Glam Nation Tour, Fan Videos & Official Videos - to get a clue! Then watch "Glam Nation Live", as many times as all those combined!!!! Maybe then he'll understand the "IT" factor, but maybe not......He will still never reach Adam's abilities! You can't buy, beg, borrow nor steal "IT" - "IT" just is....... you are BORN with "IT" and Adam WAS! ;D IMHO!!!

I think Rihanna's video was addressing the violence she went though with Chris Brown. But, in an indirect way. Maybe in a warning/payback sort of way! A catharsis!

kapsiz... LOL, I'm sleepless, too!!! Went to bed two hours ago, and finally got fed up staring at the ceiling... arghhhh.....
Lying in bed wondering about the process of putting together a new album. Who decides on what writers and/or producers Adam is working with? Do offers come in? Or does Adam tell his management to contact this person or that person?
And when he meets with a songwriter for the first time, I wonder what the process is like. Does Adam say, "Well, I've got 5 slower-tempo songs, so I need something fast and upbeat." Or has he contacted the songwriter several weeks ahead of time or something, and when Adam arrives in the studio the other person already has a few ideas to kick around?
Or maybe Adam has a few lyrics written down, and the songwriter throws out a few possibilities for a melody?
And I'm assuming that songwriters are not necessarily producers, right? So, maybe Adam has the bare bones of a song, then he has to go find somebody to produce it?
I think it would be really interesting to follow the journey of a song, from a lyric written on a table napkin in a restaurant, to the finished product.
Someone posted this youtube vid a long time ago about making a pop song in 8 hours!
