Sounds like Adam is recording demos of all his new songs now? no wonder we haven't found him.. He's probably living in the studio. Some of these sound like demo sessions but many of could be final recording sessions. Since he is working with so many different collaborators, in so many locations, my bet is that, like he did on FYE, the vocal tracks will be the final recordings for most of this album. If Adam is really working toward a November release, he will need to deliver the album in July or August. So he is probably close to done -- maybe 4 more weeks. The other interesting thing about this album is that it is very hard to get information about what he is recording and who he is working with. And, most importantly, very few people have heard anything yet. The is very different than FYE where they were working hard on generating pre-release buzz and letting out lots of info. A big part of me loves that we don't have tons of leaks. I hope he is able to keep most under warps (and away form us & twitter). I'd love to be surprised by most of it! |

Q3, reading the countdown thread at MJ's right now. Am I remembering correctly, but I thought all of Adam's videos made the countdown their first week on the survey? Right?
I know we have a list of all the videos and the VH1 countdown weeks but don't know where it is?
Anyone? :-/

Hard to tell how any single artist is doing at the Viper Room because they book multiple acts...
For example
Monte Pittman Viper Room Sunday, May 22, 2011 11 pm Featuring Run Run Run at 10pm Super Black Market at 9pm Chasing Avalanche at 8pm.
My experience is that people come for the various acts and some stay.
But there were still tickets available for this show on the night of the show.

Hard to tell how any single artist is doing at the Viper Room because they book multiple acts... For example Monte Pittman Viper Room Sunday, May 22, 2011 11 pm Featuring Run Run Run at 10pm Super Black Market at 9pm Chasing Avalanche at 8pm. My experience is that people come for the various acts and some stay. But there were still tickets available for this show on the night of the show. Also, if I'm not mistaken, I think his "resident gig" is in the small acoustic room. That started this month. |

I just mentioned the most recent occurrence -- as an example that a music video can make the VH1 countdown in the first week. I also believe that Katy Perry and Gaga did it this year but was too lazy to check. I could remember IIHY without looking it up. |

Sorry Gelly 14, but I disagree ... the banner picture and the Qoatg picture aren't the same ... they may have been taken at the same time, but the angle is different. Look at the background ... the label on the amp in the background is at Adam's head in the banner pic, and below his hand in the Qoatg pic, and Monte is missing in the banner pic. But they are both great pictures, and bring back wonderful memories ... I was there! ;D

He is booked in the Acoustic Lounge in June --- HollowBody LA presents Acoustic Thursdays with Monte Pittman @ The Viper Room Lounge! Monte will gig on June 2nd (9:15PM), June 9th (9:30PM), June 16th (10:30PM), June 23rd (10:15PM) and June 30th (10:15PM). In between all that Monte will go into the studio to record his 2nd solo album “Pain, Love & Destiny”. |
