Since I am convinced that Adam is not 100% -- and that is the reason for the shortened setlist -- I am hopeful that he will feel better soon. And maybe some of the songs will return this weekend.
Fingers crossed.
That said -- he had the flu during GNT and never shared that with fans. He just performed through it. Many artists would just cancel concerts.

Adam will and should do whatever he feels is best. However, I am still in the camp that cutting 15 min may signal he needs to conserve. A few light my lights on this. 1) He has cut the set by at least 15 minutes. If you take the intro, guitar solo, intro to 2nd and 3rd parts, brief wait before the encore, honestly Adam is singing for a bit under one hour. I timed it as I was streaming. 2) he really has backed off (at least in the last two concerts as I haven't seen the other videos) on the very high notes. He hasn't taken that high slide on TOH or Fever. Doesn't matter at all to me. I think he sounds amazing on the notes that will sound high to others that don't know how high he usually goes. 3) his funny reply to that tweet when asked about how does he take care of his voice through all this rigorous touring and he said denial. I know we should not read anything into that but it has stuck with me.
I think he may well add stuff back for the NY show if he is up to it. He will have friends, industry people, critics etc most likely in attendance.

And you know, really, why should we be privvy to all the plans and reasons behind everything he says or does? Remember the days when there was no twitter, heck, no internet, and we went to shows with no idea what to expect unless there had been a review in some newspaper or national magazine? No videos, nothing. I bet we were perfectly happy with what we got, for the most part. I don't blame him for hedging. Unless he does an Axl (or a Bieber!) and gets pissed and storms off stage in the middle of the show, never to return, he has nothing to apologize for. Did not ask for nor do I desire an apology (wtf?). Just an observation that the response does not jive with situation in my opinion. I know you didn't ask him for an apology. My point was that people on Twitter and others complaining about the set list etc. seem to think they're entitled to an explanation from Adam for his (and/or his team's) decisions. He probably shouldn't even respond or comment. IMO.

TBH, not feeling 100% is the only valid reason i can think of for shortening the show by so much. And I know he would never say he was not 100% until months or years later, like when we learned about how sick he was in NYC for the GN show.

How long were his sets in Australia and Asia? 90 mins before the encore.

Unless he does an Axl (or a Bieber!) and gets pissed and storms off stage in the middle of the show, never to return, he has nothing to apologize for. In my sordid concert going past - (I think I went to 2 before I was 30 early 80s lol ) there was a distinction between too short and wow what a great show. Both were basketball arenaI used to remember who the short set was from but I don't any more. I'm pretty sure it was a group and I don't remember if they had an opener or not. But I do remember wondering if that was it? Then the great show was Barry Manilow. No opener and he did it in two parts with a little intermission between and lots of story telling about how this song was written etc. I thought that's the way to do a show. Haven't' had the same issue with other concerts length but I do remember the first one was way short. So how would I feel about Adam's. I don't remember feeling GNT was too short at the one I went to. The two opening acts and waits between dragggggggged. QAL was great and the Brian solo/intermission was a break. The TOH tour has so much going on with the visuals that I think I would be impressed enough with all the flash along with 2 or 3 costume changes to think that I was getting quite a show. He packs a lot into the time period. Having said that, as a fan, I would also love the other songs back in for all the reasons said.

You know it is really hard to see people complaining about Adam dropping songs, the set being shorter etc when some of us aren't lucky enough to see a show at all on this tour. :( Yeah that sister! Maybe we'll get a fall series this way cometh.
