Whoops, I see my post was deleted, my apologies for being inappropriate. Wild child!!! Some vintage Iggy cause you deserve it! And for Adam of course I'm apparently feeling all sorts of retro tonight. "... a pirate prince at her side..."

He already has Carrie. My guess is that Daughtry's contract was for 5 years and it's 5 years right now. He may just be looking for new management. Thanks mys*&@^#r.. I don't know anything about anybody but Adam.. ;D.. So Carrie is not longer with 19M and is now with Fuller.. and you don't think Fuller will bring Daughtry in? IDK, but maybe since RCA is no longer attached to Idol, others will leave 19M when their contract is up. Fuller has a very small list of clients. If it's 5 years, with 19M, that would be right for the time Carrie left, which was last year.

Great is such a subjective word.. I think Adam's new album will be great to me,because I love his voice,I love the emotion he brings to his music and because he knows how to put over a song.I believe that Adam's songs will be more like Pink's work, songs we all can relate to. The song that she wrote about her dysfunctional family & divorce brought tears to my eyes, the girl thinking of ending her life..powerful. It sometimes takes many years for an album and the artist to achieve greatness. Sometimes society has to catch up to the artist's creation.I don't think much of the Beatle's music achieved greatness the moment their songs came out. Many of the songs were considered catchy fun ,etc. They were kind of the Justin Biebers times four , they were pop and some rock and had catchy tunes. i.e. " I Want To Hold Your Hand."Over time the composers were recognized for their great body of work .They changed it up.. "Yellow Submarine",etc. Their work became much more original over time. They were also given the time to explore and create..while cashing in on their every day cute tunes. I hope Adam gets the time he needs to grow and become more and more original. I think he has it in him to be innovative. I still believe that there are a number of songs on Adams first album, that will be considered classics some time in the future. Tastes change and what one considers classic change with the times we are in. Dylan's music spoke to a nation at war, great civil unrest.. civil rights movement..his songs became symbols of the times. Yes they are enduring, IMO ,because he wrote poetry with universal themes. Certainly not like todays Kesha,Gaga,Beyonce. If Adam's work has universal themes, which most people can relate to .. he's got a good shot. Sorry for going on like this ,'Great' just started me thinking about Adam's journey.

Since we have not heard one bar of the new album, have heard no demo tracks, and do not even know the genre for sure, I am gong to maintain optimism but not expect Adam #2 to be great. There is no certainty in the music business except that it is very hard to put out a great album -- and they are very rare. Even the greatest recording artists struggle with putting together really strong albums. Not me!! I am a hopelessly optimistic person and I expect this album to be great! Adam has so much knowledge of Pop music. He has been cutting edge in his style for years! And no one, I repeat, NO ONE, has his voice!! I expect this album to be so great that even the Idol snobs and Indie snobs and PD snobs and DJ snobs will have no choice but to give it great reviews and play it to death!!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! I'm with you and I love your link to the Grammy announcement night. Will have to do a few things, they I'm going back to read. What a fun, joyous night!!! I believe and believe deeply. I know how difficult it is for any creative venture to come together; stars must align. But I also know when someone who is skilled, knowledgeable, courageous and has a vision it's going to happen much more often than any other scenario. Look what positive visualization has done for Adam so far. I'm going to positively visualize right along with him and not hold back. I can handle disappointment if things don't work exactly how I imagine. I've suffered many disappointments in this life, but it doesn't prevent me from hoping with all hope the next time.

Even the greatest recording artists struggle with putting together really strong albums. I'm ready to fall on my face. True - great recording artists turn out mediocre albums; happens all the time. I've listened to them. Their CDs sit at the back of my cabinet. You won't find me on their fan websites. I find myself here, following one person, for one reason. ADAM. Only Adam. He is not every other great recording artist. His uniqueness and his art remove him from every voice I've ever heard in my life. I think his second album will reflect this. Virtually every person who has collaborated, advised, jammed, wrote, - - - somehow been with Adam in the studio in the past few months - - - has not just praise, but exclamations, joy, "raised my eyebrows" remarks about the music and the magic of being in the studio with him! And, on to confession of sorts. Along with FYE, I listen to the 'bastard album' nearly every day. Ah, I know all about how disingenuous my listening to "Castle" or "Flight" is supposed to be. But Adam sings with such honesty, and so beautifully. Songwriting and melodies are inspired by the voice that gives them life. Adam took mediocre songs, in a 'session' and created art. I know my opinion and what I'm exposing to all of you at Adamtopia is very unpopular. But I have to say it. His voice begat life to song. If he took session music and made the tracks beautiful, can you imagine what he will do to his own inspirational creations? He can sing 'the phone book' and I will listen. So, there is no doubt in my mind that #2 will be great. I will, once again, hear the voice. And for me it will be rapture. I just know it. End of story. From my ever-full, always optimistic, and certain heart.

Q3 .... You don't expect Adam #2 to be great??? Huh? What are you expecting? I hope it will be great. I am almost positive I will love it -- but there are only a few Adam performances or recording I do not love. But I expect nothing.

Well I know I will thinks it's a great album because I'm a stan and love his music. Will it be "epic", dunno and I would never put that kind of expectation out there anyway. I just want it to be good enough to put out Adam #3 and be able to keep growing as an artist and entertainer.

I have to admit...I am not a born optimist. I wish I were, but I'm not. That being said, I have high expectations for Adam 2.0.
The way I see it...FYE was a good album. Considering all the elements working against it - the time pressure, the fact that much of it was recorded while Adam was on tour, with material that, for the most part, was not written by or for Adam specifically - it was a success. Not a home run, perhaps, but a good, respectable first effort.
But Adam 2.0? Completely different situation. He has the luxury of time. He's had the opportunity to co-write the songs with an A-list roster of collaborators. He's been able to devote his entire attention (at least professionally) to this one project. He has learned more about himself as an artist from his experiences recording FYE and from touring. He has acknowledged that his vocals need to be front and center.
Put all that together? Yes, I'm expecting it to be great. I'm certainly expecting that it will be great to ME, and I'm optimistic that the general consensus will be the same. If I'm wrong? So be it. It wouldn't be the first time. But I'm allowing myself to be excited; to be optimistic; to believe that Adam will produce something wonderful. It will make the next few months that much more pleasant, that's for sure. ;D
