Since I woke up to a SNAKE at the bottom of the steps as I went out to get the paper, it was very nice to find new pics of Adam at Bruno Mars' concert AND I see he had a small Twitter party before calling it a night--a much better way to start the day esp. since RCAEd mentioned AUGUST! Maybe Adam could release his first single not too long after the "Behind the Music" special airs. We can hope! Have a good one everybody! ECK!!! how big was the snake?! I would freak out & scream ! you sounded very calm, that visitor comes often then. LOL He was about 2 feet long, green and very thin. I think he was harmless but called a neighbor to dispose of him just in case. Do not like snakes.

Q3 -
Yes.. I'm kinda following what UMG did with these AI10 kids.. looks like they're more conservative than Sony. They really are careful before they make big decisions. I meant they gave some of these kids a single/EP to release first before they serve them with recording contract. And now looks like they're doing an EP for them. If this is what UMG's doing, I am thinking I'm so glad that Adam is with Sony now. They're (Sony around the world) so supportive of Adam.

For the Russian Concert, do you know if the Maxidome promoters paid for Adam's flight and hotel expenses? Do artist usually get those types of things paid for when they do personal appearances? I'm just nosey curious. ;D im guessing hotel and flights are additional cost on top of that rate, but i could be way wrong. that's a good question tho, ill ask my husby since he threw raves and paid for artist flight, hotel, meal, and i think playing time. I think it is different depending on how each appearance is negotiated, even for the same artist. My son just came back from a 2 week tour in Australia and left for a European tour today. He was here in L.A. for 2 days. Some flights he pays for and other flights are paid for by others, particularly if he plays a festival or a corporate event. Sometimes when he has to pay for a flight, he gets paid more for a show. His hotels are always paid for, and he always has someone that meets him, checks him into hotels, takes him to dinners, and pays for those, and who drives him around during the day. His International festivals gigs and corporate event gigs pay really well, way more than his regular rate. I bet Adam did well with the Moscow gig.

There was a discussion of these rates for concerts on here a couple of days ago--I'm sorry I don't have time at the moment to go back and look for it. The consensus seemed to be that this was old information and/or just an estimate by people who don't represent Adam. Interesting that Lyndsey Parker tweeted about it today. it was originally found on MJ's blog and brought here. I think Adam would make considerably more for a gig than this (as he should, of course!) I brought it here originally and didn't find it at MJ's. I saw it on LJ. MJ's later posted it.

I think Q3, said that it was a "starting point" for negotiating. Lyndsey also left off the fact that many of those fees have a + next to them. Don't see how Clay could get the fee on that list with the size venues he plays. ETA: And if those 2 Costa Mesa shows brought in over $400,000 together, there is no way Adam only got $50,000 each. Q3 -- I posted that it is a rough guideline. All you have to do is call them and try to book Adam. See if they can book Adam for $50K -- bet they can't. The charge for a private performance is based on the deal, terms, what the artist has to do, how it fits into the schedule, etc. Most likely the casino shows were the most lucrative part of GNT because the casinos just want to get people to gamble and pay big guarantees.
And concert deals are total different that private events.
