TOH Tour USA 2016 Ends!
And then it was done. Well at least the US leg of The Original High ended last night. But now the tour move to Europe, then we have Queen's Summer Festival Tour, and so it goes on.

I woke up this morning to the sound of birds singing. It is a clear, crisp April morning in Los Angeles. I am staying with friends a few blocks from Adam's house and completely at peace with the world.
Last night's concert was most excellent. There was a moment of sadness during Alex's set because he is done now and I believe his future is uncertain. Alex delivered another killer performance last night (even though he was sick). My evaluation of his performance is a bit intellectual because having seen his set several times, I am more than a bit bored with it. My impression was that he was even a bit bored with his own schtick, too. He is a most gracious and talented man. I was pleased to get to know him and I hope to see more of him in the future.
Now on to the reason we are all here. Adam.

I was lucky to get to attend several TOH Tour concerts -- from coast to coast, north to south, clubs and theaters, and every concert was great. The show was so well designed, the setlist covered all the Adam-fan needs, and Adam, his band and dancers brought it every single night.
My favorite show was not last night's show but remains the Chicago concert at The Vic. (I only mention it because of the myth that the best Adam concert is always the last concert. For me, that Chicago concert may remain the ultimate Adam Lambert concert event. It was the perfect mix of artist and audience and venue.
That said, I literally can find no fault, no gap with last night's concert. And Adam --- with the costume adjustments (red outfit >>> black, grey suit >>>>>>> the pastel patterned one, tie dyed top and pants >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the other closing set outfits) and glitterized platinum hair (he did the same thing to close the GNT Tour in the second hometown concert in 2010) --- looked better and happier than I have ever seen him.
His soapbox speech flowed into the concert and music is a way that was almost organic. And the crew put together a real soapbox (a labeled crate) for him for the final US show. (It is shown above in today's banner.)
I will leave the concert details to others and to the video. I do not know even how to describe the entire experience. I brought two long-time friends and my husband to their first Adam Lambert concert. They know I am a mega-fan. They asked me to explain why. My response was that they just needed to experience it. And they did. They also seem to have no words.
So now the tour heads off to Europe and I will live vicariously via videos, tweets, recaps and photos.
