NC needs corporations to pull out, etc. I admire what Bruce has done but hate that his fans have spent money on travel, etc. and most expenses won't be refundable. I agree. Corporate pushback will back make a difference but cancelling a concert just punishes people that likely nothing to do with the law, it was not put to popuar vote. Maybe a better/stronger statement could be made by having a concert with focus on the LGBT community, maybe free tickets, prizes, or special guests and programs. Or maybe the Boss can just slap 'em all upside the head with a big stick. For what it is worth. I think the Boss canceling will raise more people's awareness than say PayPal not building in that state. How many people read about a celebrity than read business news.

Another media. laurieb @libralaurie 21s21 seconds ago Adam Lambert Didnt Watch American Idol Finale - thedailytwist.com/2016/04/adam-lambert-didnt-watch-american-idol-finale/ … ADAM LAMBERT DIDN'T WATCH AMERICAN IDOL FINALE April 8, 2016Peter Stavros One of the greatest exports from American Idol, apart from the likes of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, is Adam Lambert. He added an extra flame of flavor and excitement to the show during its eighth season in 2009. And, despite not winning, he has a huge career that includes three solo studio albums and fronting the legendary Queen. “I needed some sort of shortcut to the people,” Lambert said of his opportunity with the show. “And I hoped that Idol would do it for me. It was the right thing at the right time.” So why did Lambert not watch the show that gave him this career? He is in Toronto working on The Rocky Horror Picture Show airing in Fox later this year. “I know. I’m so sad I missed it,” he said. “I’ll probably go find it online somewhere. It is bittersweet because if I hadn’t have been working on this, I would have definitely been there. But I was on the show two weeks ago, which was good.” While it is understandable that he is working on this, I feel like he should have attempted to do everything he could to fly out to Los Angeles for the show. Of course, it’s likely possible that shooting schedule is tight – especially since he is embarking on a European tour starting next week. And as for the show ending, Lambert said, “All good things must come to an end. You can’t keep pulling something along if it feels like its time is done.” American Idol finished its 15th and last season last night.

Bravo, Bruce! I loved your show in Portland last month. I think Bruce and E Steet will headline one of the days at Rock in Rio in May with QAL.

This is just a bloggers opinion. Lauriellen lolpsychic 3h3 hours ago @adamlambert @americanidol My blog, my thoughts, my opinions. lol-psychic.com/2016/04/08/adam-lambert-not-american-idol-finale-didnt-get-joke/ … Adam Lambert NOT on American Idol finale? Who didn’t get the JOKE? April 8, 2016 lauriellen American Idol is over… for now, according to Ryan Seacrest as he signed off on April 7, 2016. I thoroughly enjoyed the finale and had fun naming all the past contestants as they popped out of obscurity. My 56 year old memory may not be as shot as I thought. It’s safe to say that I remained a major fan of Idol even though my favorite usually didn’t win. And I didn’t completely give up on Idol after the travesty that was Adam Lambert not getting the title in season 8, although I refused to vote or get invested in the contestants. I was comfortable knowing that anyone in the top10 could have a career. Besides, I have no extra time or money (lovingly referred to as “Glambroke”) due to “investing” in Adam Lambert. I’ve spent so much time these last few weeks, reading and enjoying all the press about Idol, especially all of the “best of” lists. Here are some links to them. www.yahoo.com/music/the-25-greatest-american-idol-auditions-214549003.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=fbhttp://https://www.yahoo.com/music/the-25-greatest-american-idol-auditions-214549003.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=fb www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/readers-poll-the-10-best-american-idol-performances-20160407www.yahoo.com/music/the-50-coolest-american-idol-finalists-1402326650069046.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=twwww.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/american-idol-finalists-top-10-881376/item/kelly-clarkson-american-idol-finalists-881392www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/american-idol-20-best-worst-and-wtf-moments-20160405/best-constantine-maroulis-bohemian-rhapsody-season-4-20160404www.billboard.com/photos/7256317/top-100-american-idol-live-performances-of-all-time/100?utm_source=twitter
What do the articles above have in common? ADAM LAMBERT!
American Idol loves Adam as much as Adam loves American Idol. He’s been on the show every single season in some capacity, as a mentor, a judge or to perform his latest single. This season was no exception. A few weeks ago was his time to shine, reprising his iconic performance of “Mad World” and then performing a brand new single, “Welcome to the Show.” He also had a lot of face time on the finale’s first night. Adam and several other former contestants had prerecorded some segments talking about how Idol changed their life. They showed a clip of the season 8 champion crowning. I thought it said a lot that they continued the clip until the winner Kris Allen said, “Adam deserves this.” It was like Idol telling us that they thought so too. I was hoping that somehow Adam would be on the final show. There were a few surprises like Simon Cowell coming out to join Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, so maybe they had secretly snatched Adam from taping “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and transported him, even via satellite, to the Idol finale. Then Ryan announces that a David Bowie tribute would happen after the commercial break. “That’s it!” I said. Since Adam has been covering Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” on his “The Original High” tour and he did a Bowie medley of “Life on Mars”, “Let’s Dance” and “Fame” during the Idol tour, he would be the obvious, or only, choice. David Bowie changed music and Adam changed Idol. Bowie brought new sounds, makeup and costumes, bravely carving a new path for pop music. Adam brought lighting, stage movement, special effects, interesting arrangements and fashion to Idol. Many say he “broke” Idol since, although he paved a new HOV lane for the otherwise pedestrian talent show, no one since has had enough in their arsenal to use that glitter-paved lane. This isn’t just my opinion. Refer back to those “best of” lists. I’m waiting for the surprise of Idol surprises because so far there has been no clip, picture or mention of what many believe is Idol’s finest contestant. I’m on the edge of my seat…giddy with excitement…when an assembly line of WGWG (white guy with guitar) winners stood like Disney animatronic figures on the Idol stage. There was no glitter, no lasers, no space age costumes…no Adam. Someone pressed the start button to begin the tribute. At any moment I expected Adam to dramatically appear on the stage, if not in person, maybe as a hologram. When they gently strummed their guitars and began to sing “Rebel Rebel”…
I wonder if David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Phillip Phillips and Nick Fradiani knew they were part of a joke? Idol made sure that everyone would notice that Adam Lambert was missing. I also noticed many non-winners had solos while many winners were buried in group numbers. Idol was showing the voting audience that they got it wrong a few times while also reminding us that they have helped a huge number of talented unknowns launch a career. I’m making two “the sun will rise in the East tomorrow morning” type predictions. 1. Every article written about Idol’s final episode will include a “Where was Adam?” section where they further explain that he’s in the middle of a worldwide solo tour supporting his newest album, that he moonlights as front man for Queen with a festival tour coming in the Summer, and is currently filming “Rocky Horror Picture Show” which will air on FOX TV in the Fall. 2. Adam Lambert will have a huge Ryan Seacrest/Simon Cowell part in Idol’s reincarnation, coming soon. www.billboard.com/articles/news/7326406/adam-lambert-american-idol-finale-rocky-horror-interview

Remember this media video backstage waiting for the winner to be announced Adam's season on Idol and how shocked they were at his loss. ♥ Adam Lambert is ♔ foxvegas 16h16 hours ago THIS! Season 8 Press room as results come in...even KISS is shocked! #NoAdam vimeo.com/4777333?ref=fb-share … I haven't seen this in ages, but remember it well. Apparently the reaction was somewhat similar inside the theatre..... according to those that were there to witness it live. IIRC, Patti was in the audience.

This was a really great interview....not a lot of thanks to the interviewer, I am afraid....she did everything possible to paint Adam in a corner and claim to be controlled, squashed, done badly by Idol and he would not....it actually surprised me how she tried to get him to say something negative with almost every question and he deflected like a great tennis player. Why would she relentlessly try to get him to go where he clearly was not going to go....good for him. He was amazingly forthcoming yet positive. That is not easy ..... so Hicklin came out with the negative in his own letter...no wonder he was so completely pissed at that. After all his effort to be truthful yet positive and they do that to him. As so often is the case, our amazing ray of sunshine came through....I often wish I could be so wonderful...but I am not haha When you think back to what he had been doing and going through up to then, it is amazing he was still coherent. It also confirms what I said yesterday about Idol and how supportive they were of him. When i commented on that, a couple of people had to twist what I said when I commented it was the public that did not support him...but the fact is, the vote was not strong enough for any skulduggery [if there were any] to overcome. If there were one thing about this fandom I would change, it is the predilection for some to take your words [much as this interviewer tried to do] and mis-represent them as if the misrepresentation were the original. Oh well...it is what it is...sometimes I callout out, sometimes it is not worth the effort. I think last nights show was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed at least 75% of it. There were a few obvious missteps but for the most part, it showed just how many talented young people have got a start on Idol. The talent shamed the Voice, in my opinion....especially considering many of the top Voice contestants would have been ineligible for Idol because of their age and experience! Clearly the Bowie thing was ridiculous...good grief...who was smoking what for that one. JLo is beautiful and a decent actress but she just cannot sing. Of course would have loved to see Adam there but we knew he would not be and why. They clearly have something else in the works...Ryan has said a couple of times, very cryptically, "for now"....I have no idea what is up their sleeve but there is something... It is pretty clear that with a few exceptions, the glow was off the show after Adam's season. I also wish we had seen Haley R on the show...she was awesome. I loved the Ledet reprise...he was looking good. Durbin looks surprisingly good albeit not a fan...love that blonde, but i am biased . The little Sanchez girl was terrific...she always was but she was just too young to fully utilize the platform she had...that said, she still came in second I think?? Anyways, loved the show and appreciate that it put our sweetie on the map and he knows and appreciates it. thank you idol..... mszue, I'm glad that I met you
