Adam and the Canyons did do some writing together early on for album 2 ...I was kind of hoping the band (well the other girl, the guy and Alisan) would be a subtle back-up for his vocals.
Oh well if she sings like she did when they were at the Music Box...that allowed the lyrics to shine...versus the power vocals.
Adam seems to like those power vocal gals.... Scarlett, Alisan, Xtina. They do have a softer side...here's hoping.I for one have never been a fan of an Xtina collab..she is TOO TOO for me, when she is pushing it.
Adam does look like a rock star...all I have to say..all I need to say.

I was just reading the review that CeeLo was so mad about and this jumped out at me Rihanna's most convincing material centers around her newfound personal strength and empowerment, and it was clear that the predominantly female audience identified strongly with these songs. It's interesting that the statement, "predominantly female audience" is just a matter of fact for the Rhianna review. But with male Idols, it is always expanded on and used as a putdown. Oh, and I am very surprised that Rhianna would have a larger female audience. Thought her sexiness would really attract a lot of guys. Do any recording artists have a predominately male concert audience? I had read eons ago that pop draws a more female audience and rock more male....not exact, but predominantly.

I think that is right, but even some rock bands have a larger female audience, like Bon Jovi. I went to a Springsteen concert and it was majority male. I think Dave Matthews is male majority too. I would guess that most Pop stars' concert probably are predominately female. I think it is normal. That's why it gets me so ??? when reviewers make the Idol concerts audience sound unusual or even bad!

Pop skews slightly female, but the big split in radio/music genre is by age not gender. And there is a huge generation gap -- line is at 35. Contemporary Hits Radio (CHR, Pop CHR, Rhythmic CHR) is the #1 format for people under 25 years old. iTunes Top 1000 ---- right now:
1019. Whataya Want from Me – Adam Lambert
Not that could be 12 copies but it might just creep back into the Top 1000 Tracks.

I haven't attended many concerts period and none other than Adam's in the past 20 years, but I would have guessed most concert goers are female.
