I had read eons ago that pop draws a more female audience and rock more male....not exact, but predominantly. I think that is right, but even some rock bands have a larger female audience, like Bon Jovi. I went to a Springsteen concert and it was majority male. I think Dave Matthews is male majority too. I would guess that most Pop stars' concert probably are predominately female. I think it is normal. That's why it gets me so ??? when reviewers make the Idol concerts audience sound unusual or even bad! Typical misogynist attitude by our society that predominantly female audiences are viewed with a certain amount of disdain and ridicule. Especially if they're older females. Funny, the last time I looked, my money was worth just as much as the money of young males.

iTunes Top 1000 ---- right now: 1019. Whataya Want from Me – Adam Lambert Not that could be 12 copies but it might just creep back into the Top 1000 Tracks. Actually, it was in the top 1000 last week. It just dropped out. This was June 14th. It's just an Idols i-Tunes ranking from someone at MJ's. 24. Remind Me (Brad/Carrie) 64. Don’t You Wanna Stay (Jason/Kelly) 65. I Love You This Big (Scotty) 91. Heartless (Dia from The Voice) 147. Like My Mother Does (Lauren) 182. Price Tag (Xenia from The Voice) 250. All American Girl (Carrie) 305. Battlefield (Jordin) 328. Best Days Of Your Life (Kellie) 398. My Life Would Suck With You (Kelly) 406. Undo It (Carrie) 449. Before He Cheats (Carrie) 614. How Great Thou Art (Carrie) 704. Bennie And The Jets (Haley) 721. Cowboy Casanova (Carrie) 731. Time Of My Life (Cook) 751. House Of The Rising Sun (Haley) 772. I Am Woman (Jordin) 873. Rolling In The Deep (Haley) 901. Jesus Take The Wheel (Carrie) 931. Temporary Home (Carrie) 956. Breakaway (Kelly) 967. Gone (Scotty) 985. Whataya Want From Me (Adam)Question for you all:With BTM coming and a new single in the next few months, is anyone up for trying to get IIHY and WWFM played on Maxwell's TakeOver hour. It runs M-F. What to you guys think? Worth a try??

Sorry on the iTunes mis-info -- I haven't been watching it anymore and it must have moved from MJs to Twitter -- with a bit of added info.
Shame on me for being lazy!
I would pass on Maxwell's Take Over until Adam has something new to promote. Then I would request the old and new Adam songs. JMHO.

I was just thinking folks might need a little reminding before the new stuff comes out. Also, I kind of feel like the TakeOver hour is legitimate. Not convinced all other polls are. I was thinking about starting around the first of July.

In the US the average concert attendee is 43 years old -- which is just about the average age of an adult in the US. I have not been able to find the gender split but I recall it was just about 50/50 male-female -- even for rock concerts.
American Idol concerts -- even Daughtry -- skew female.
And some female pop stars have heavily female concerts -- Like Gaga and Madonna.
I think there is a lot of agism in some of the reporting and online comments about audiences, but I do not recall reading anyone critiquing Gaga's audience for being heavily female.
Similarly, check out the Industrial Metal and thrash metal concert reviews and online comments and you will find derogatory comments about young men.

Whatever became of Max Martin & Adam...hmmm. Did his music not fit album too? schedules don't mesh???WITWIMM??? I think there is still time for them to work together. Maybe they have and we just didn't know it. My hope is that while Sauli is in Finland Adam will go to Sweden then Finland. This. We have no way of knowing that Adam and Max haven't already worked together. Adam has tons of time in L.A. unaccounted for producer-wise and we don't know who was producing in London or Miami, for that matter. He said just a few months ago, "It's definitely happening ..." so I'll go with that. He looks like such a f*cking rawk star in those pics. I swear, I'd probably crash my car if I saw him walking down the street looking like that.

O/T -- but what is in the water? Is it bad homophobic joke week? Supermodel Andrej Pejic took home the honor of being named one of FHM Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women of 2011. (Number 98, to be exact!) The only problem? Pejic is a man.
Hey, stuff happens. And admittedly, Pejic runs in very high fashion androgynous circles. Surely FHM apologized and cracked a joke in their next issue about Pejic being a beautiful man, right?
Wrong.
Instead, FHM posted an incredibly offensive blog on their site labeling Pejic a “crossdresser” and accusing him of pretending to be a woman to secure a modeling contract. There’s also something about “passing the sick bucket” if Pejic ever becomes a Victoria’s Secret model, and a hateful attack on transgender supermodel Lea T, a favorite guest of Oprah’s.Link: unicornbooty.com/2011/06/fhm-accidentally-adds-man-to-100-sexiest-women-list-retracts-then-attacks-him/

I RTed that yesterday. Are people just effing stupid or WHAT? And a magazine that's entire focus is the fashion world – you are risking ostracizing your audience, and I would say a huge percentage of designer/models/writers who would work with you. Not only completely inexcusable and offensive, but just plain dumb on every level. 4Msrmyn, thank you for those Royal Oak pics. Wow!! The crowd shots and candids really convey the spirit of GNT. My pulse even quickened a bit. Love to see the joy and diversity of the crowd – really brings it all back for me.

Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty,,,,OMG, so much pretty. I'm liking the leather look. It's working for me. Adam just keeps getting taller, thinner, more handsome, more HBIC with every photo. Whoever said he could not possibly be missed walking down the street, said it all. Celebrity or not, he is breathtakingly gorgeous and a real head-turner. Does that cover it? Oh, and as someone else noted last night...HOLY SHIT!!
