Glamaputian: Noun 1. A small salamander with green and purple stripes found only on one small island in the South Pacific. 2. Fictional people who lived on the planet Glama in the 1959 sci-fi film, "Alien Women from Outer Space. 3. A derogatory term for middle executives who don glam disguises in place of their typical black suits and ties. No, not loving that term either! That's bizarre. Why does no one see it as a corruption of Lilliputians? After all Eber is tall and he towers over most Adam fans he meets so I could see him feeling a bit like Gulliver amidst the Lilliputians. In any case I am sure it's meant in an affectionate way and not some kind of insult. I got it -- I just was having a bit of fun. The sound of it is a bit off -- and it sounded like a good name for a salamander to me. |

Good Morning!  I just love to read all the stories how you've become to Adam fan and met the other fans/Atopians. This is for all of you   I woke up my usual time and it's Monday morning - but since it's the first day of my vacation (just a week now) I can go back to bed for an hour or so - wohoo! But not until I've updated myself with what's up in here and twitter, of course.  I have my priorities.  |

Honestly, it's like he evolves before our eyes. So proud of him, and proud to be his fan. He has hasn't he?! And he's only 29 and he's only recently had this forum.  |

We Keep Asking - What is it about Adam? I sat at my computer for several months with tears running down my face as I followed each of Adam's concerts in the US and around the world. It was when he sang "Strut" and I really heard the words, I knew I had become invisible. I didn't understand how or why. I had allowed myself to be imprisoned - the prison of the mind. My spirit had not soared for so long. His spirit is free and soars off planet-- His mind does not have the barriers that society has placed on ours and we have allowed. His energy is palpable His voice lifts you off the planet - gravity is no more And you find that you too can soar - at first just when listening to him sing. But then you try it alone - with friends - you make small remarks that cause surprise - even shock. You change your appearance. But most of all you are becoming "free" and can dance in each moment. So much that mattered - doesn't anymore. And so much that is important - you now live. He says, Change is Gonna Come It has and It is..... He says it's not too deep-- I say it is the deepest. |

Just caught up to this most enjoyable thread and want to say, you're on vacay, Zinnia, so ZzzzZZZ a little more. Nothing better than being able to sleep in ~just a little bit more when you have the chance. As someone who has met MANY friends through Adam, both locally and all over the world, I will advise anyone who might be questioning or lurking to suspend disbelief and take a chance. I've met too many Adam fans to count (I started to list them all, but was afraid I'd forget someone) and they have all been as fun, warm and wonderful as I imagined them to be. This community has brought me some of the best friends I've met in my adult life. The funny thing is, I've largely been an involved, connected person, but something was always missing. I don't feel that anymore, because the (call it obsessive or irrational love for one person's voice, spirit or being) my experience of Adam is enough to put on on the same committed playing field. The rest is incidental. Those who I've met though him feel the same way and that's so very cool. |

Reading through today's thread I kept thinking, I wish Adam would read these stories and see how he has literally changed people's lives. I wonder if he realizes this? I would love to see a book made up of stories like the ones here today from around the word, young and old , men and women, straight, gay or in between, funny and deep and give it to him to read through when he's having a bad day. |
