My fervent wish is for Queen to write a song/song for Adam. His voice is just made for bombastic music. I know, I know he wants pop but oh lordy I miss him doing this! I know, this is where his instrument really gets used to it's best ability, and he really shines...I have missed this!!!  |

Adam really shines on WWTLF. Technically as good as Freddie. Not sure Talon agrees with me though lol. No I've always said that if there was one song that I could admit that he matched Freddie on it was WWTLF. He is wonderful at it. Good evening, Sir. Nice to have you back!  |

Some of the lyrics he sang tonight are ridiculous. Pop does not own the patent on shitty lyrics. And I don't think these songs are harder to sing than Adam's own music. Adam is not better with queen imo. In fact, I find him more authentic singing his own music I don't think Adam is better with Queen either. It is just different. You can't compare an arena produced show with a show produced for 1-5K. Although, I do think TOH Tour would have done fine in arenas! I love Adam with Queen. Wish like heck, I could see this summer tour. But I will always prefer Adam's own music. Have to agree with Oracle, that Adam's music is also very demanding & his TOH Tour was very demanding. The great thing is though, we don't have to choose! We get both! We are smart to follow someone so versatile!  My thoughts too. I go with the flow (and generally enjoy QAL), but my preference is for Adam's own music. As you say, there's something for everyone. |

Catching up.....WOW! Adam with Queen is unbeatable......and he looked gorgeous and happy and in his element with that amazing crowd. Still haven't seen all the clothes......looks like there were a few.....  |

Omg! I don't know how I'm going to survive Cologne and Brussels. I'm crying behind my laptop already! This is so different from his own stuff! Really missed it! He is so made for this! The big crowds, the music, the outfits.... I AM SO READY FOR THIS!!!!!  |

Hello Toramenor, nice to see you here! I hope someone can help you find a link you can watch over there... Are you staying long in China? Fascinating place... I'm staying for a year - until February next year - doing some teaching, writing, trying to learn some Chinese and really enjoying the experience. It's cool, but at moments like this, I do wish I was in Europe to share in the QAL fun Anyways, I'm hopeful I'll get to see the concert tonight (actually, it's morning here), but even if I don't I'm sure there will be plenty of videos. How exciting! I love adventures like these... |

But I LOVE LOVE LOVE Adam's own music and his own show - watchinh the QAL concert yesteday I couldn't help but think how much I miss TOH concerts. True, it was demanding. And it was so much fun! I had the best time of my life at the concerts. Anyway - we are so lucky to have both the versions of Adam performing!!!  |

Adam can sing anything and I just love it all... can't pick one genre... This show just took off ,better than ever...Most singers hope
and pray for a career .. Adam has many careers going at the same time...He is beyond amazing.

I guess what you've posted is a different topic. No. Some people are basically saying that they prefer Adam, the cover singer. I truly believe Adam would be saddened to hear that from his fans I haven't seen anyone here say they prefer him to be a cover singer. I thought we were talking about the difficulty/complexity of Queen songs vs. Adam's own songs both lyrically and melodically, as 3ku1 originally posted. I enjoy hearing Adam sing covers of songs (many of them tried and true). At the same time, I am not enamored with TOH album. That does not mean I want him to become solely a cover singer. I think musically (a term I am using in the way that trained musicians would use it) it is a step down. For this discussion, the melodies are more plain and mostly do not demand his vocal prowess. However, he adds embellishments/improvs that add complexity. With many of the Queen songs, the melodies are more complex as composed--and he adds embellishment on top of that. I have not discussed lyrics, because I don't pay that much attention to them. I'll leave that for others. ETA: After watching Part 3 of the Queen interviews, I am reminded that a major reason Queen is touring at all is because Adam can sing their very demanding music. Roger and Brian have been saying that for years. |
