….but is it true?

Here is the latest probable information about Adam's new album. At least one of the sources has been reliable in the past, and there are multiple sources for the info. I have combined the info that trickled in over the weekend into one list:

Confirmed: Album photo shoot – mid-July.

Related hot rumors:

• The album shoot will feature multiple looks featuring leather fashions probably designed by Skingraft.

• Compared to FYE, the style direction will be more raw, stripped down. Not as glam, not theatrical. One source used the description “less Glam more ROCK” but I cannot confirm what that is based on. Some expert Adam-watchers have guessed that this refers to a “rock sensibility” vs. a rock look.


Confirmed: Single will be released in late August or early September.

Related hot rumor: There is some indication that the single will be released on August 30, 2011. This is unconfirmed but looks like a likely date. Some rumbling that it will be released in September not August.


Very likely: Album will be released in early November.

Related hot rumor: The album will be released on November 8, 2011. This is unconfirmed but I think Monday November 7, 2011 is a more likely date.


Other “Hot but Bogus” rumors…..

“Hot but Bogus” rumor: The music video is already in the works and will be released prior to the single. The signal has not been selected yet, so this seems really unlikely. RCA is not likely to select a single until the album tracks are selected. For a late August single, I expect them to pick the single in mid-July.

“Hot but Bogus” rumor: Adam is doing a rock album. This seems to have started with the “not glam but rock” comments about the album photography. Best info is that the album is even more pop than FYE with very little rock influences.

“Hot but Bogus” rumor: There will be a planned leak of some new music in July. Now, this is the one that I would love to write is true, but it is not. In fact, everything is really tightly locked down this time.
