How funny to wake up to the GLAMILY LOVES ADAM worldwide trend! I didn't even see it at first because no one I follow was trending it. When I look at who they are, it's lots and lots of internationals-- Brits, Russians, Poles, Germans, etc. Some young East Coasters. Love it! Makes me happy that Adam is loved worldwide, and that the circle of fans is much larger than even I realize. Gelly, I even saw a person trending from your neck of the woods twitter.com/#!/margierodaki Awesome!!! I totally agree NoAngel - many of us are underestimating our numbers! I am bringing my and Cassie's post from last night: OMG! I LOVE this number, because it means that the "core" fandom is much much bigger than I thought. The number that seemed right to me was about 5-10K, but the 17K listening to Liam's program means that we are probably somewhere in the 25-35K range. I am THRILLED!!!! Hadn't thought about it that way, but you make a good point. I certainly consider myself a totally committed fan/stan. However, I don't listen to the program. Probably will when new music is released, but for now, I listen to my iPod. I can't be the only core fan who does not listen in to the radio program. So, your 25-35K range may even be an underestimate. I have to say that Cassie is right about the "underestimate". Here is my logic: the program airs at 11 am in Auckland, NZ = 7 pm EST = 1 am in Berlin = 8 am Tokyo = 9 am in Sydney...which means: 1) sleeping time in EU 2) Sat. dinner/go out time in Eastern US 3) Sunday morning in SE Asia and AU - breakfast time (ish) 4) early Sat. eve in Western US - who stays at home attached to their PC? (But possible) 5) it is summer, many younger fans are in camps, etc... 6) it is summer, many mature fans are on vacations, away from the internet 7) there is obviously no advertising of any kind for the program by this very small station in the suburbs of Auckland, except "word of Twitter" among the fans 8) I will venture to say that EVERY fan has MOST if not ALL of the music that Liam plays on their own ipods, CDs, etc... The only factor on the "up" side that I can think of is the heat wave in the US which is keeping many indoors with nothing else to do... and with all that Liam had 17K!!! it is totally INCREDIBLE!!!! Based on all that I am upgrading my estimate: IMO the number of the "core" Adam fans is in the 60 - 80 K range. If these numbers are anywhere close to the real picture we will see very nice numbers for adam#2 (especially given our propensity to buying multiple copies)

Q3 and NoAngelAs many ahead of me have said, thanks for putting into words what we are all thinking! It's so great to have this place and all the wonderful people here... And, 4MsrmynYou work is amazing - thanks! And today's pictures, one after the other, show Adam's sweetness on stage and off. His sincere appreciation of his fans shows as he talks with them. If that's not the case, he's a damn good actor!

Thank you, NoAngel. That was beautiful. Your essay, together thoughts of this wonderful fandom, transported me right out of the underlying sadness I had upon awakening this morning of all the world's troubles. It was a year ago today that I had the pleasure of meeting you in that searing unforgiving heat in Lincoln. I hope we can meet again next time around! Last night as I was getting ready to go out to dinner with family, I decided to put on jewelry which is a rare occasion for me, and found the contrabands that Anthrogeek gave to me and my daughter the morning after the Thunder Valley concert. It was a great reminder of the concert and people I met very briefly and want to meet again. The tweet listed for SusieFierce recommending people get into the AC made me smile. I remember when I called out to her from my place in line to say hi, and she offered cooling time in her room. I so admired her courage and caring that with all the back pain she had, she wanted to help others. I actually had a room there, too, but didn't want to risk losing my place in line so chose to continue to swelter under the 50 spf sun umbrella I purchased for the occasion. There were a couple of times where I felt like I was going to pass out. My daughter stayed with me the whole time even though she hates being too hot. She told me she wouldn't even do this for the Foo Fighters. It was all worth it because we did get good seats, and Adam's beautiful face and voice were burned forever into my soul. Regarding the Ring of Fire sound check, there was actually a small grass fire burning across the street from the casino at the time!!! It was quickly extinguished by just one truck, but wow! Special thanks to 4Mrsmyn for bringing all the memories here today and everyday. Well, I have more company coming today. It's my sister this time. I rarely have visitors and they all decided to come this weekend. They want to go to the same restaurant for dinner that I went to last night. Good thing it's one of my favorites! It's a Chico classic--Sierra Nevada Brewery.

My Thunder Valley Glam Nation Tour "Condensed Version" Recap ~ The 24th of July was my 2nd Glam Nation Tour concert! Started out with a LONGGG :-/ drive up to Thunder Valley right after the Warfield concert on the 23rd! Check-in - quick shower - BED! Next day - HOT HOT HOT HOT REALLY, REALLY HOT HOT HOT MORE HOT HOT HOT - ADAM Time! - Beautiful Full Moon Rising Over The Stage - SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Concert over - Back to Room - LONG COOL BATH - Room Service - SLEEP! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
*will post a more detailed version later *Hahaha, yes HOT is the first thing that comes to mind - It was my third GNT, Portland, SF and then Thunder Valley (it is about now my DH was starting to think I lost it:-) I was in line next to Angela (is Melisende on PF according to SusieFierce when I didn't remember her screen name). Angela introduced me to Susie and thankfully Susie took me for a break to her hotel room to cool down. Angela was very watchful over me - I think she thought I might pass out from the heat... and while I kept saying I'm fine, she may have been right. THANKS to you both for keeping me alive:-))))) Also met Anthrogeek - and really felt like part of the community when I received some contraband wrist bands:-) I wanted to meet NoAngel (the three Amigos) but she was out of line at the time. The full moon that night was fantastic and really went well with Voodoo... ... The tweet listed for SusieFierce recommending people get into the AC made me smile. I remember when I called out to her from my place in line to say hi, and she offered cooling time in her room. I so admired her courage and caring that with all the back pain she had, she wanted to help others... THIS... NoAngel: thank you for going ahead with the Sunday post. I understand the concern for what is going on in the world and we all share in this... while looking forward to better days while enjoying (or perhaps needing) to be a part of something larger than ourselves, which being a part of this community does). Q3 and all the Atops going to Canada concert - Have FUN! 4Msrmyn Thank you for posting the concert information!
