Enjoying the walk down memory lane with TV. It was a HOT one, that is for sure!!! So glad everyone's dedication was rewarded with good seats. The friend who helped me get there and had non-GA seats had two different sets she got from Ticketmaster. One set was row B – yeah sounds great, but they were seats 1 and 2, which were practically in the cow pasture next door and were so close, they were beyond obstructed view. The venue refused to acknowledge this, but finally did weeks later. If we would have sat in those seats, we wouldn't have been able to see 75 percent of the stage.
Thank god my friend had second set that was row E, but almost center (across the aisle from the dedicated peeps who roasted in the sun all day). Those were good!
The venue was huge and when the sun finally went down and the full moon rose over the stage, it was awesome. I do remember being jarred by how LOUD Orianthi's band was. Whoa! That was distracting.
Of course, when Adam came on, all the frustrations of the day went away and it was a magical summer night. Just 24-hours before, I was in total despair, but now I was taking in my first GNT show. The costumes and sets looked ethereal. He sounded incredible. You just can't describe the difference live as opposed to on YouTube.
The place was PACKED!! Even during Allison's set, only the front section of seats seemed to be occupied, but by the time we were waiting for Adam, I turned around and there were people far as I could see. It looked like every seat of the front sections were full and every seat of the back sections as well. (No one was there just 30 minutes or so before prior.)
I don't remember too many details of the show (pain meds???), but I do remember being enthralled and enjoying myself immensely. I will never be able to thank @loveadamsmusic for what she did for me. And sorry I missed the good timez in the line-from-HELL (okay, not really) with the other Glamigos, Melisende, Agnelle, kapsiz, adamfanem, etc.

Hi all! I thought I'd share my story as well. Thunder Valley was my first GNT concert. We had tried to get Warfield #1 tix, even had early access, but they sold out so fast we weren't able to. [This was before I became on a first-name basis with a certain StubHub salesman.] We drove to Lincoln in the am, so excited. As everyone has said, it was ridiculously hot. While I had found Planet Fierce by then, we weren't in-the-know yet about Adam's concerts. So we didn't get in line until about an hour before the show. We looked around the "shopping" area, and noticed all these women standing at the front of the line. They looked so organized, and like they all knew each other! NOW I understand. Anyway, we were about 2/3 of the way back. I remember that there was a woman standing up dancing, and the people around her were getting angry and asking her to sit. What?? The minute FYE started, and the pictures were up on the screen, we pretty much lost our minds. I think we screamed the entire time. I can't even describe how it felt to listen to that voice, and see that performance (although from far away). I can't imagine how hot he was up there! We were hoping for WLL, and were surprised by the fast-paced MW.
On the way home the next day, we decided to get tickets to Warfield #2 that night. StubHub, a lot of money, and close-up seats. Now THAT was the REAL beginning of the obsession. But we'll save that story for tomorrow!
Can't wait for the next tour.

Wow, the Thunder Valley concert really stands out for me. Partly because of the EXTREME conditions- it was mercilessly hot, and I am such a wuss, I really thought I was gonna die, or pass out, and had to go inside a lot. But once they herded us into the holding pen, there was nothing to do but wait in the heat. I do think the venue put themselves at risk; people could seriously have become ill. There was a woman we had to douse with a Slushie because she was getting heat exhaustion. The concert was great, but my favorite part was seeing such a big crowd giving Adam so much love, and watching new fans be born. This is from my recap: As I said above, we were in the 2nd row behind Reserved. After we settled in, I studied Row 1, and they looked suspiciously ~casual and non-flaily. We questioned the two women directly in front of us (mid-late 60's in age) and found that pretty much all of them were casino VIPs, who had been let into the venue before they opened the gates for us. (There was also a couple of older gentlemen next to them. More on them later) The ladies were really nice, and we found out that they knew Adam from AI, liked him there, thought he should have won (heh), and hadn't paid much attention since. They were pretty musically open, and had recently seen Ke$ha and loved her. They asked, "Is Adam a good performer?" (they had recently seen Lionel Ritchie and raved about what a great performer he was). I chuckled and said, I'll let you tell us, afterwards. We told them about the Glamazing Race, and they were stunned and somewhat puzzled, but friendly and supportive.
They ended up really liking Alli, who by the way, was out-the-box crazy good last night, with explosive energy. "She came in 4th? Another thing Idol got wrong!" was their comment. They also enjoyed Ori. During intermission, I told them about Adam's theory on audience/performer energy exchange, and they promised to show him some love.
And then Adam came on, and when I could tear my eyes from him, I watched our friends. Over the next hour, I watched them move from attentive to enthralled. One lady watched him through binoculars most of the time, and they became more and more animated, shaking their heads and clutching at each other. The two old gentlemen totally got into it, too. By the time Adam was singing Strut, one of them was dancing, pumping his fist, and laughing in delight at Adam's OTT provocative moves.
After the concert, the ladies turned to us with slack jaws and wide eyes. Their comments: We get it now, why you're following him around!; We knew he was good, but he is GREAT!; Way better than Lionel Ritchie (LOL); We're saving our ticket stubs- he's going to be huge!!! And on and on, in full-on flail mode! We hugged, and clutched at each others hands, and laughed in total delight at each other. I told them to please buy his album and support him, and they said, of course, they were going to buy it right away.
So there you have it- more converts, one concert at a time. Anyone who wonders about some of Adam's venues and worries that the audience may not be full of fans, should realize that this happens EVERY TIME! There really is no resisting his ~allure, and anyone who is open to it, can't help but be won over. I'm so thrilled that I got to witness this transformation first-hand, and it really made the concert even more special for me.

I didn't realize until I watched the GNT dvd how active the dancers were! I mean, I saw them, and loved the choreography that included Adam. But honestly, I had NO idea how big a role they played. Because I, too, couldn't take my eyes off Adam for a single moment.
