Wow didn't know that so many of us went to this concert. Thunder Valley was my second concert, I was still a lurker here, and only knew a few people from MJ's and was trying to meet up with a few of them here. I thought I had a good ticket since it was in like the 3rd row, but again I was too the far left, and I was way too close, view almost totally obstructed.
It was fun nevertheless, as a group women near the center, kept trying to get the crowd to chant, or sing (or something, can't remember fully) while waiting for Adam. I was still in a haze during this concert, that it took my third concert, the second SF one to actually truly remember anything, besides Adam being a lot of fun, and sounding really good.

Add me to this list, I've listened only twice when he first started it, and it's too late for me to stay awake. It starts at 2.00 a.m. in my country, and I'm DEFINITELY commited.

Fell down the Rabbit Hole reading The Glamazing Race blog and reliving how much fun we had last year. glamazingrace.blogspot.com/If anyone gets a chance, please go back and revisit NoAngel's "The Scarlett Letter" essay. It's really amazing. I love getting a sense of how my memories coincide with my instant recollections at the time. Reading it now takes me back to last summer; I'm recalling many details I forgot and reveling in those I remember. One thing that stands out for me is how our passion for Adam has not waned one iota in all this time. Yesterday at lunch with my local stan group, we talked about how it was bizarre it was that we have sustained this level of fascination and it hasn't faded at all. I remember during the AI season worrying that I would wake up one day and be "over it." This often happened to me when I was a teenager and had my teen heartthrob obsessions. The ambivalence would come on as quickly has had the obsession. The magic just faded, for whatever reason. I thought to myself when I first discovered Adam that I really hoped the spell would never be broken. LOL, if Q3's editorial today indicates, that is not something that easily happens in an AFL fandom ...

I love him more everyday! He's so easy to LOVE!

Great essay, NoAngel!! I often think of this forum as a refuge. It offers some of the best of humanity -- intelligence, humour, compassion, a willingness to share, to agree to disagree, and to love. And at the heart of it is Adam. I know that is he not perfect, but he does seem to be a very evolved human being that I hope will inspire many more people with his words and actions for many more years to come.
Since I have never had a chance to attend a concert, I love all your posted memories. Nothing like living vicariously!!!
