I did a google search and found that male/male shipping is also known as slash. This is what it said which made me seriously LOL Kirk and Spock? for real? that's awesome Want to really blow your mind? The closest thing to actual officially published Slash are two books by Sondra Marshak and Myra Culbreath called "The Price of the Phoenix" and "The Fate of the Phoenix". Basically Spock forges a Vulcan Marraige bond with Kirk. In the published books it is just a psychic bond but Marshak and Culbreath were well known in the fan community as slash fanfic authors. This and your previous post were very enlightening. I never would have ever shipped Kirk/Spock. Per your previous post, most shippers are playing and there is a small minority that are delusional. That is to be expected. We have spoken about the double standard on female kissing and it acceptance especially as it relates to the AMA firestorm, however, it would seem that slash/fanfic has been around for a while. It has just been underground. Lately, fanfic is surfacing and has less of a taboo. In the MTV 10@10 today, I believe the one of the guys that was featured before Adam is a dominate part in fanfic.

Is that a painting or a photograph? if that's a painting that's incredible! Adam has some amazingly talented people in his fandom that's for sure..... I had the same thought but then nosticed that The NOSE is WRONG has some artistic license applied to it = painting VERY talented ... Not on the nose team, but I think the nose is right in this Pic.. These people are very talented. This picture just made me gasp at first glance.

Yes, dream job, dressing Adam. Erotic dream job, undressing Adam. Still do not know how to post a pic. Dang it anyway. I do it the long way, but it works. Click on photo you want to post here. Click view image info. It should automatically highlight the one you want. At top of reply box you will see a photo. Click on that, then paste the link between the brackets, with no spaces. You can also type the brackets with img inside first one, and /img inside one at end. You can check if it posted by using preview button at bottom of reply box. Photo should show up automatically. I am, however, twit pic challenged. :( Between you and seoulmate, if I keep trying I will know how to post a pic sometime during the next century :( Jeez, I usually catch on much quicker than this. I just want to curse, scream & throw this dang computer in the pool! Okay, third option is NEVER going to happen, I have to have my computer to support my damn addiction! I will figure it out eventually, heck, I bought a GPS for my car so when I am in LA I can find my way around. That being said, if anyone who lives in LA sees a blue Lexus or green Z3 BMW crazily changing lanes, stay far, far away, it will be Cayman trying to read her GPS! : Mika, are you on tonight? Where else could you be on a Saturday night? Okay, maybe out with your other friends.

She really is good. I have a local stan friend who has commissioned her works. How she can do that in colored pencil is beyond me. Especially the hair. The detail is unreal and even moreso in RL. She's only 18 or 19.
Really interesting discussion on the history of shipping and fan fic. I am just dipping my toe into fic, but there are some incredibly gifted writers out there. One I read today was one of the best fiction pieces I've read in awhile.
Interesting, rihannasu, that many who are feigning total investment are actually running a game. That actually makes more sense then so many people being collectively delusional.

I am assuming you are talking about shipping? Because I have to say, not naming names, but I know ALOT of people who are DEAD srs about shipping. Like, not as HAHA or for fun or with a wink and a smile but, like, THEY KNOW what they know IS REAL like they know the sky is blue. I mean, they are literally biding their time until the truth is revealed, whoever it is they are shipping with Adam. Just saying that there are diff levels of shipping and some take it waaaaaaaay srs. Not my style obv but to each their own I suppose. Life is too short to not have interests I guess LOL.

Yes, Jensen Ackles of Supernatural. There is a very passionate fan community about his character and his brothers character and they get shipped a lot. I think they are "in" on the joke though because they do things to play with the fans within the show from what I've gathered reading things within the ONTD community (they love Supernatural there). ChunkyI backed away from a community because of the serious business tinhatting/shipping that went on there. They wouldn't hear of any talk of their fantasy relationship not being real and at first I thought they were joking but then I realized how serious they were and I was like whoa... really? It kind of scared me out of my hardcore shipping phase honestly.

Yes, there are many many incredibly gifted writers in fanfic and I confess I fell down the rabbit hole and it has practically ruined regularly published fiction for me. Also when it comes to television I sometimes watch a show only to get gist and enjoy the fanfic more than the show. Some of the best fandoms I explored were Highlander and The Sentinnel. Crazy story about how I discovered fanfic is that my daughter stumbled across a Highlander slash fic when she was twelve. The story she ran across was called "The Gay Quickening" and it was the most hilarious thing ever. I was briefly concerned about what she had found until I though about the fact that my daughter who had basically just discovered porn on the internet immediately and without any hesitation whatsoever shared that with me. She never even considered it something she should hide from me. I was thrilled to know that she was that comfortable with me. Needless to say we had never had any problems with the sex talk. ;D ;D ;D

Well that's kinda what happened over at my place. *shrug* Some ppl get it and appreciate shipping it for the lolz and the silliness (floorbert anyone? lol srsly), which is what I believe it should be, and some just took it too far and that's kinda why our forum at the original site imploded. Us girls in charge just.....we didn't want to be that kind of place we were turning into. Actually that's why I really enjoy this forum alot. It really reminds me of the old forum we used to have before it went to extremes. I mean it started because of shipping and such but it went from fun to something where the lines were getting blurred in an uncomfortable way... I don't want to tell anyone what to believe, and I have some dear pals who are very dedicated to what they ship, but it's just...not for me to put it nicely. But really I don't give it a passing thought besides a smile and an eye roll and shrug....I mean, as long as no one is getting hurt and no one is doing anything inappropriate, let them think what they want to think if it makes them happy. Whataya gonna do?

I was thinking maybe there could be a "how to" thread with step by step instructions for posting pix and vids.
