You're not keeping up, Gurl! Kelly is already announced for The Voice at the exact same time!
no I have not been! come in, look around, same subject-leave! Cause I really don't care beyond Adam. Him I would prefer on his own tour, in a broadway plan, doing a movie... Just being happy regardless.
"Madam Lambert" isn't that the name that some Claymates used to call Adam in the old days?
No, it is a name that some of his close friends used to call him. Perhaps some still do. But I know it was in use pre-Idol -- long before any Claymates knew who Adam was.
Partway through Idol some Adam haters [including a few Claymates] used it to refer to Adam because they thought they were clever and thought it was an insult. Mostly since 2009 it is only used by trolls.
It is not clever and any 12 year old could come up with it. But a lot of the trolls are 12 years old -- and most of the rest act like it.

On a more cheerful note, one of my favorite Adam nicknames from the Idol era came from Danny fans hating on him - Dark Lord Screamanova.
And yes, I am one of the Dark Lord's minions!
"Now there’s an audience for me being exactly who I am. There’s permission given.” Adam Lambert
Reposting this! This is from the head of ABC's Reality TV division! They are going BIG!!
Can the show make money, or do you see it as a loss leader?
What you can't do is come back as bargain-basement Idol. We're going to make sure the talent is right, and we'll do what we have to [do to] make it bigger and better than ever. We want to use it as an asset base to launch scripted programming, like it did on Fox. If it returns at the levels it left, it's going to do really well for us.
Thanks for adding that one.
Big stars, bigger than ever, is the only thing that makes sense. Particularly now in a time of declining TV ratings particularly for the networks. They need live, don't miss TV.
>> I remain in the "Ryan does not matter as much as who the other two judges are" camp. I think they need a big urban star and a country star. Carrie has a lot of appeal and would be worth a lot to ABC [Country, past Idol winner] -- although I think she would be a mediocre judge. I do not see Adam fitting the audience appeal/demographic and genre needs. I still think he will be involved in some way -- maybe a vocal or performance mentor? I would love to see him as host of the live shows. He would be spectacular, I mean spectacular. His is nice, quick witted and charming + better looking than Ryan.

There are a lot of people in the TV industry with a motive to trash Idol. (Along with all the people who like to trash Idol because it is cool to trash and mock Idol. Or at least once was when it was massively popular.)
The old media "Idol experts" who were frozen out of FreemantleMedia (example Richard Rushfield) and the networks who did not get Idol Reboot and compete with ABC -- NBC and Fox -- both of whom were in the bidding war and did not make a deal.
Totally agree. I would love if Adam was a judge. In fact that would be the only way I would watch. However, with Katy, they don't need him. She more than covers the pop genre. With three judges, they NEED a country star and an urban star. I would not be surprised at all if Carrie gets a spot.
eta---IMO Ryan is essential, a deal breaker. Watch ABC pour out the big bucks and get Katy, Carrie, and Bruno (with Ryan hosting)

Nobody can host that show like Ryan did, he was the glue of the show!
Yep, totally. Without Ryan they will need a total reinvention. Not sure at all how Katy is going to fare either. Looking at the political climate, there is a lot of pushback against stars who have been Hillary supporters or vocal against HeWhoCannot amed or simply because they are entertainers and therefore perceived to be liberals. I think everyone is in for a bumpy ride for a while and jmo, I think Adam may be better off out of the mix for now.

I think Katy will be great! She is right for the demographic the show wants.

I totally agree that Katy appears to have the skill set to judge, I was thinking more along the lines of what the core demographics of Idol were and how they might react. It will be interesting to see what happens and how it all shakes out.
There are celebrity judges on all these shows: Voice, AGT, DWTS. I see no readon why Idol judges would be judged differently.
Exactly! And the thought that Katy (or even Adam) may not be liked by someone somewhere is a strange argument to keep either off the panel. I can't think of a single judge on any of these shows who is loved by everyone.
