Q: What is your biggest fear?
Adam: You know for a while there it was that I would – I would get to the end of my life as an old man and I would be alone. That was very scary to me.

Q: Why did you choose the key as your tattoo?
Adam: This key is a – there is a piece of art hanging in the new place that I’m renting. That a my friend of mine created. His name is Hans. And -- this is a piece of the giant painting that he made. And it just really resonated with me – I just thought it was really cool.

Q: What aspects or your vocal skills do you feel are your best technically speaking?
Adam: Ahhhh -- I think I got a pretty good range. I guess. I guess that is what I’m known for. I’ve been told in recording studios that like I can sing really quiet and really loud. Oh I don’t know – you tell me. That’s not for me to say. I just do what I am gonna do.

Q: What inspires you the most?
Adam: Love. Love is really good. I like music and pieces of art or entertainment that provoke a sense of wonder or inspire you to question the world you live in.

Adam: I’ve been working on my album for about 5 months and the opportunity presented itself. And it came across my desk. And I said you know what yeah I love it up there. Aaa the Balloon Fest was so great last year. And you know it’s good to keep up your chops even when you are writing and recording new material – it’s good to kind of remind yourself what it’s all about. And see your fans and perform for them.

[Adam was asked if it was an opportunity to perform some new material. He did not answer the question.]

Adam: If you loved the first album, you’ll definitely love this one. But It has taken a bit of a turn. I don’t what to give too much away. Not too much, you know. I will say that I am writing more of it this time because I have the time and the knowledge now to do so. Ah I think a lot of the topics are – they’re a little bit more serious in nature. Even when the songs are fun and upbeat there is something very real and kind of authentic and honest at the core of them – they’re not just frivolous pop songs. It was really important for me to inject my own experiences and my own personality and opinions into every song. There are definitely some that are happy, there some that are kind of sad.

Ever since Idol –bit by bit – I think I have shared a lot. I think I have opened the door wider and wider and wider. I think I am finally now more comfortable with that than I might have been right when it all first started. I think I have more of a guard up before. And what so great about it now is that in the last couple of years of doing this I have become more comfortable being in the spotlight. And Now I am going to be even more comfortable letting people in further.

Adam Lambert Spelled Backwards is Difficult to Pronounce

Most people have not taken the time to wonder what would happen if you spelled Adam Lambert’s name backwards. Mostly because it doesn’t really spell anything. Trebmal Mada may be a word in a foreign language. It could translate to ‘working giant jungle cat.’ We simply do not know.

One thing is certain, playing Adam Lambert songs backwards are also not likely to produce any particularly sage advice. Not that we’ve tried, but from past experience with Beatles’ music, it pretty much is a hodge-podge of words strung together that sound foreign to our ears and which is not helpful in the least.
