This is totally OT - but I went to visit my Grandma today and I'm just so thrilled for her upcoming birthday on Thursday. She will be 103 the day after tomorrow! Her knees have given up & she has asthma - other than that she is doing just fine. (Well, her hearing is bad - have to talk loud and succinctly around her!) Holy Moly! Your grandma has great genetics !! Congratulations to her and you YAY! pjd! My Granny lived to be 92! Wow - great genes in your family! #longhappylife!

OT--I put this in the practice thread but I don't think it has too much traffic so I thought I'd asks here. I had a pic I found on a glitter graphics website of Adam and I wanted to post it here. When I tried... it posted with a little box with image on it and a red x. When you click the box it takes you to the home page of the website not to the pic. :-/ Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I made sure I had the correct code when I did it.

Can someone summarize what happened today? I'm about to fall over. No way to read 30 pages.... Damn, let me try! US magazine did an interview where they misquoted a question about marriage. They said Adam said, "Marriage is not in his future." He really said "Near future." Fans discussed original quote. Adam did rumor control and tweeted the word "near" and told the tabloids to "P lease not fuck with him." Sauli tweeted that the question was stupid but the answer was perfect. Then Sauli tweeted that he was sad because he already had found the perfect white dress. Adam retweeted Sauli's tweet. Then Adam tweeted that he and Benny Blanco were recording today and for us to "get ready." Sauli's new blog is out, talks about Montreal and NYC. No Adam mentions but you can see Adam's refection in the 4th picture. Momtomany got a promotion she wanted and didn't even interview for! AdamTopia is a Happy place and we are all brilliant! ;D I swear you guys are incredible. I had to tilt my laptop screen 5 ways before I could see Adam's reflection in that glass. What do you have, super computers?

Thank you to everyone who wished my Grandma a happy birthday I'm not sure she is going to quite get it when I pass on the good wishes! She was nearing 90 when the internet was just getting big and she wasn't interested in learning something so totally new at that point. She knows we use it for email and to research stuff, but I'm not sure she has a clue about forums, twitter, etc. Today she was telling me about her brother's first transportation of his own - he had a really sporty horse & buggy in his late teens and was really popular with the girls in town. It is mindblowing how much the world has changed during her lifetime! When she was born, women didn't have the right to vote - she was 12 when the amendment was ratified. pjd you should try to tape your discussions with your grandmother or write them down so you can compile them together and make something for the family to always have. My husband's grandfather had such amazing stories about Europe and coming to America. I wish I would have done a journal of it all. My mother did that with her mother who was born in 1906. I'll have to see if I can find the book now (still unpacking from last year's move) and see if I can make a pdf of it. One of my favorite stories was how she used to sit down in the footwell at the front of the buggy on the way to church and the horse's tail would swat her in the face.

When she was born, women didn't have the right to vote - she was 12 when the amendment was ratified. pjd your grandmother looks INCREDIBLE for her age and I wish her a very special happy birthday and a {{{HUG}}} from NZ. It's probably a little known fact, but one that I'm inordinately proud of as a Kiwi tho of this... "When the Governor, Lord Glasgow, signed the Electoral Act into law on 19 September 1893, New Zealand became the first country in the world to grant women the right to vote in parliamentary elections."
We've also, in recent history, had two women Prime Ministers. One through a 'coup' and one legit voted in in an election.Gawd, RL is taking over and I am having to speed read daily threads. There is sooooooo...... many wonderful posts, ideas, birthdays, laughs that I wan't to respond to and no longer have the time *pouts* One specific mention tho is momtomany. Lord woman, your recap bought tears to my eyes - thank you And today's tweetfest brought smiles to my eyes. #preshfuckingoverload
