Yes, Adam has always said it, but there still seems to be a large group out there who just haven't understood that! You still see comments online (on articles, youtubes, etc) that he was "hiding" and "in the closet" during Idol. It may be a repeat for us, but if it gets the basic info out to these folks, I am all for repeating this again. S9 was the season that Idol started to loosen up the access the press had to the kids during the show. It was the first year they were allowed to "talk." But they seemed closely monitored. Their Twitter seemed more "official" than personal. But this year, Season 10, the kids were out and about a lot. It appears they have free reins over their Twitter accounts and several attended events, alone or with friends, during the season. So, Adam's season was the last where they kept the kids under tight lock and key. But the general press is lazy and has very poor short memory, so they are probably thinking that every year was like season 10. Also, remember in Season 8 – according to Simon C. – they were hoping to do a Big Brother type of mansion web show. That is why they were sequestered and the original intention was to put cameras in the mansion and have them on tape the entire time, but the logistics just got too difficult and they didn't get it done. Also, I think that's why the Confessionals were already set up. Cowell was pretty disappointed that they didn't get it up and running, as he indicated in a couple of interviews. I think it was a horrendous idea (as if they aren't under enough pressure already, jeeze!), but I wonder if all the security measurements were in place because that's where they were hoping to go?

Hey Guys! Sorry to be Off Topic. I was just wondering for those that received an email from ALF about renewal, If it sent you to a direct link with new information? For me it sent me to a sold out Lifetime Sub + Calender page, with no other info on a renewal. Please PM me your thoughts. Thanks Oh, and Happy Birthday to those that i have missed. I am still recovering from my birthday party on Friday lol.

Great post, Susie!
^^ Love that comment the most. ^^^ The gay and lesbian community will be truly free when they do not have to announce that they are not straight. When it becomes so matter of fact, that it just is! If straight people do not have to announce that they are straight, then why the hell do gays have to make an announcement?

I believe all she means is that in the few minutes they stand there, while listening to the judges critiques, it is even hard to get in a "Thank You" to the band and coaches.

I found this kind of interesting, an interview I had not seen before, going back to the altercation with Hicklin from OUT Mag, which spawned a lot of interesting stuff, including, I believe, NoAngel's brilliant essay on "The Scarlet Letter". I found this by clicking on "past articles" from the theclicker.today.com/_news/2011/08/01/7218054-lambert-couldnt-discuss-being-gay-while-on-idol article posted here. It is interesting that these topics are still being discussed 2 years later. In the Clicker article, it does seem that they are trying to call Adam out and suggesting that he "lied", but of course, it is taken out of context, as usual. I wonder if it is Adam or the media that keep driving the gay? I hope someday he truly gets to be just Adam, and not Gay Adam. today.msnbc.msn.com/id/34052550/ns/today-entertainment/t/lambert-out-editor-has-his-own-agenda/

Once the contestants are done performing, they are essentially "interviewed" by Ryan Seacrest; Ryan sets the tone and asks the questions. Sometimes it's barely a minute and he tries to get the contestant's reaction to what the judges have just told them (of course, they're usually pretty overwhelmed emotionally at this point). Also, during this time, they need to squeeze in their voting numbers. Because Adam got some flak about not crediting Dilanna (sp?) for her arrangement of "Ring of Fire," he seemed to really want to mention those who helped him with other stuff, so he kind of took over the reins of the interview from Ryan on two different occasions to squeeze in thanks for Ricky Minor (band leader) and Michael Orland (musical director) [hope I got those titles right] who helped him with his arrangements for BTBW and IICHY.
