Simon Fuller is a greedy bastard and 19ABCD will continue to earn a piece of Adam's profits for 10 YEARS. Kelly Clarkson is still partially clad in chains  As for the record deal I think its 5 studio albums and not remixes and stuff. Indentured servitude? In any case, since I don't think Adam would have ever broken into the business without 19 and Idol, I accept that it is the dues to pay. Adam is doing very nicely for himself, and his future looks brighter and brighter every day. He is also a shrewd business person, from all appearances, and had taken more control and has more control of himself than many artists. So, that's one thing I am not gonna worry about. |

I agree Adam wouldn't be where he is today without idol Cassie. I also agree Adam is a shrewd businessman, his $6 million dollars earnings (approximated) prove that. I guess in the long run FUller is the lesser of two evils. I can't imagine the agony of being bound to Cowell's 360/pump-and-dump deals.

This seems totally in keeping with Adam's propensity for "risk". Sign with a smaller company (greater risk) for greater potential benefit. He has total confidence in himself and now has total confidence in his fan base and he's willing to take the risk. Just like the risk he took by headlining his own tour. That certainly WAS a risk, by most people's standards.
