I work for surgeons and I found out recently that one of them, a female, plays Adam in the OR. When I asked her if she was a fan she said yes. Then I asked how can she work playing music like that while doing surgery. She said he makes me happy and of course its great music! I know that I want my surgeon happy while cutting on me!!! I love reading these success stories! I have little one of my own. About 3 months ago when I went in to my dentist for cleaning, I was sitting in the chair and staring up at picture of a toothy grin. Hmmmm...Adam has a very nice smile and shows a lot of teeth. Plus his mom was a dental technician. It all fits! I goggled my favorite picture of Adam with a big toothy smile in a grey t-shirt with emo hair looking all fab (I bet Gelly will know exactly which one!) and sent it to him. I told him that he would really bring in business if he had an "Adam" room. He laughed and said he likes Adam and will consider it. It would make going to the dentist a whole lot more pleasant. |

My membership expires 9/1 and still haven't received the email. Wonder why? I just went to ALF the other day and had to log in with my e-mail. I, too, registered around the 1st of Sept. Just today, I got an e-mail regarding renewal. When was the last time you went to ALF? It had been ages since I had been, so I had probably dropped out of their radar. Just a thought. I will admit I don't go there often, maybe once a month but recently I have been just because I know it will expire soon! :-[ |

kittykay, that is interesting because my friend e-mailed Ground Control and they said the packages, for right now, are exactly the same as last year. I posted the e-mail in a thread a few days ago, but didn't save it. Perhaps the Mods and Ground Control are not communictaing well! :-/ I would love to see a t-shirt with an actual "iconic looking" photo from Glam Nation on it. There are so many to choose from and if using a fan photo is a problem, a sketch or even some action shots that Lee took could work. I haven't gotten the renewal e-mail yet! They should have had the details worked out well before the one year anniversary of the site....many (most?) of us have an expiration date falling in three weeks. I will renew but I don't want a tee shirt that I already have! ...does anybody know if the renewal link goes to something other than the fan store page which lists the various subscription packages?? I must have deleted my email after I read it - I remember getting it, but can't find the stupid thing now. If I buy a new subscription will they know it's a renewal and I'm not a new member (not that there seems to be any benefit to having an early "join" date at present).

Love the story and I totally believe his voice causes us to release endorphins and seratonin, so this would be a way to calm patients and make them happier. ETA: Oh, and weird thing about ALF, I STILL have not got email No. 1. And I signed up the moment after he tweeted its existence. I finally dug up my lanyard from M&G and followed instructions for redeeming free year of Glitter Package. My membership expired on Sept. 1 and I've received every other email from them. Have no idea why I didn't get this one. Oh well. Done and done. If T-shirts are cool, I may upgrade and the fact that the money largely goes to Adam, all the better. |

Good catch, I bet that is the photo and he does have beautiful teeth (and smile). I am glad that he didn't go with the blindingly white teeth because that is so overdone. Ahhh... so many little things to love. |
