This looks and sounds remarkably similar to the dialogue we read/hear all the time about the inferiority of American Idol singers....so is this just sour grapes or legitimate criticism?? Do dancers share the same 'stigma' as Idols do?? Rather looks like they do....interesting...

My youngest son, 21, home from college for two more weeks, asked my husband and me a few minutes ago if we wanted to watch a movie tonight. "I'm watching the Adam Lambert Behind the Music special tonight," I quickly responded, determined to "call" the T.V. first. Surprised eyes. Eyebrows up. "Adam Lambert got a BTM special?" Me. "Yes." "VH1?" Me. "Yes." "Wow." Definitely some respect filling the eyes. "I'll watch that with you." Me, smiling. "I want to watch it with people who really like Adam Lambert. I don't want anyone raining on my parade.". (This is the son who is in that 21 year old intellectual phase right now, who sometimes gives me a good-natururedly hard time about my Adam stanning.) "I like Adam Lambert," he asserts. "I'd definitely be interested in seeing his Behind the Music special." Guess the whole family will be watching tonight.

This is good - neat family conversation. Wish I had some family to watch it with. I didn't think much about the special except that it would be another chance to see and hear Adam on tv, but now I understand that it's evidently quite prestigous to get a VH1 BTM special. Kinda like being one of Barbara Walter's most fascinating people maybe. Good for Adam. He seems excited about it. BTW - those pics upthread - UNF - lifesize lips!!!

I hope his BTM Special will get him more respects from non-fans and people who don't really know him and becoming his fans. ;d

"I don't want anyone raining on my parade ..." Do you have it at 7:00 or are you waiting until 10:00? For background for anyone else, whether it airs at 7:00 PST or 10:00 PST on the West Coast totally depends on our cable providers. DirecTV and Dish Network air the East Coast times for cable stations (something I loved when I had DirecTV), many independent cable companies do as well. I have AT&T Uverse, and it airs all cable stations on West Coast time, so therefore, I won't be able to watch it on TV until 10 p.m. I'm will be watching the stream though.

Coming out of lurkdom to say hi I am ALWAYS behind and like to read in order so I pretty much never feel as if I can contribute because when ya'll are talking about whether teens like Adam, I am still reading full flail over OOL! LOL SO today I catch up after forever, but soon will be without internet when I leave for an Alaskan cruise on Fri. I hope while I am gone lots of news about Adam #2 comes out...like the name of the first single & its release date! It would be nice to come home to some concrete news. Oh and savvy...if you are reading...since the grandson is out of the will can I be written in??? LOL I mean it was me who burnt you that CD... ;D

Was checking for the channel # for tonight and to make sure of the time(didn't want to be scrabbling later)....my VH1 listing just says.. Behind the Music.. NEW Did you see that on your tv? Does your remote have an info button? If it does and you press it you may see more detailed info. When I was programming my dvr to record it, it was listed as "new". Once I programmed, the details were in the summary on the screen.
