Question for the Universe ---
'cause no one else will answer!!

I have a big question. I do not expect to get an answer but seriously here we are waiting for ???? The new album has a title it is ______, the cover is shot and the photo is here ______, the lead single is selected the title is "TBD", and that the clock is ticking toward a November album release, maybe......So universe, you tell me, "Why don't fans know anything!?!??"

It dawned on me this morning -- the single should be released in just a few weeks. The album should be released in about 90 days. (Of course, there are no public release dates.) It is so close that we can feel the excitement in the air. So why is everything associated with Adam #2 almost a state secret?

Yes, we know a bit --- but it is mostly just atmospheric!

-- Style: Less glam, more leather.

-- We have heard one song which Adam previewed at the Montreal concert, "Outlaws Of Love".

-- Many people associated with the album have tweeted positive things but this happens with every album.

-- Eber has 5 songs he really likes on the album -- one in OOL. He seems to be unable to lie and I usually agree with his assessments on music so this is the tweet that impressed me. There must be some really good music on this album. "Glam Dad" says so, so it must be true.

-- We have some titles of songs that probably did not make the album and one Claude Kelly co-write song title.

-- There is one really hot track that Adam did with Benny Blanco and a cast of thousands. Based on the tweet hype for this song, it might be the lead single.

-- Adam is still working on the album but some songs are done, seems like they are close to wrapping it up. BUT Adam said he would not be done until October.

I could go on. But when you look at what we know -- we do not know the important stuff.

When will the single and album be released? What is the album title? What will be on the album cover? Etc. Etc.

And most importantly, why all the secrets?

Now I have a few theories about this "I want to surprise you" strategy. But that will need to wait for tomorrow. So what do you think? Setting aside the fact that I want to know everything, bet you do too. Do you think this strategy makes sense? Do you think that keeping everything a secret until closer to the release is a good thing for building anticipation? Or is this just creating a buzzless trough in a critical period before the lead single drops?

NOTE: I have no doubt that there is a plan and I believe Adam is a promotional master. So I am not concerned, just puzzled about what they are up to!!!!

Jane Lynch will host the ceremony. Adam will be presenting an award. Performers: Demi Lovato, Foster the People, One Republic and B.o.B. Other celebrities expected to attend include Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, David Beckham, Kristen Bell, Russell Brand, and Prince William and Duchess Catherine.



Late August 2011 Date TBD, unconfirmed Adam will be a guest judge on Project Runway. His episode was taped on 7.14.11.

9.23.2011 Premiere of Majors & Minors on the Hub Network.
Adam Lambert, Avril Lavigne, Colbie Caillat and Claude Kelly are joining The Hub's latest reality series Majors & Minors. They will serve as mentors (the "majors") to young talent on the upcoming fall series, premiering Friday, Sept. 23.
