Oh dear, home for lunch and not even one full page since I left this morning. Eeeek. The nothing is starting to worry me. I am a worrier. No worries - I think people are just getting RL in order before the storm hits! That's what I'm doing! Adam is busy (Majors & Minors taping yesterday, photoshoot today, LA Equality Award Saturday and Do Something Awards taping on Sunday--and that's just what we know about; LOL) so there's not much other news, but we know much more is just around the corner - we just need details!! I resemble that... LOL..frantically trying to get something accomplished...yikes.. If you all remember I was "shoveling" out my garage some time ago.. well its time for the yard sale..$$$ for the next tour.. or my DD's college tution :-/.. hmmm LOL Kanadie..I am liking your timeline.. even if I would rather have the new single this week.. so I have to bow down to everyone elses knowledge of the the industry (or more rational judgement) as I know nothing.. well my break is about over.. bbl

Do you know if the live shows will be airing by 9/21, or will they be doing taped auditions at that point. Hum....that is a really good guestion. I would say you are probably right about there being a certain number of weeks of taped auditions that kick off The X Factor. Even if they started there live shows say 4 or 5 weeks after the 9/21 premiere, that would still be good timing for a performance if the single was released on 9/19, and album on 11/15.

As much as I would love to see Adam perform on X Factor, it also wouldn't surprise me if Simon stayed away from Idol acts at least that first year, as a way of differentiating the two shows. So while I remain hopeful, I'm definitely not going to count on that one.

Here are my completely guessing estimates on when I think Adam/RCA will and should release his first single and the album. 1st single - Released the week of Sept 19. Album - Released the week of Nov 15. By releasing the single on 9/19, this give the single 8 weeks to do what it is going to do before the 11/15 album release. In this 8 week period, it will have plenty of time to either become a major hit and help drive album sales, or it will give RCA time to evaluate whether they should move to another single before the album release. Also The X-Factor premiers on 9/21, so maybe the can work in a single premiere on The X-Factor. By releasing the album on 11/15, this gives them a strong opening week sales regardless of when it is released, but then they have a second week with Black Friday in the mix to help keep second week sales strong. ETA: I see my question was already asked while I was typing. Makes sense, but I'm still hoping for 8/6 or 8/13. I've believed all along they would release single a minimum of eight weeks before album drop. "X-Factor" can still be part of the promo, but may not be debut. The one thing I don't know is if "X-Factor" has guest performers right away or will they do weeks of auditions before the live shows like Idol does? If that is the case, it may be a month in before they start having results shows and thus, musical guests. Does anyone know the format? ETA: BTW, the "retail insider," who has a very good record of being accurate on Pulse has changed Adam's 11/8 prediction to TBA now. However, he did say in a follow-up post it still appears to be November.

Augh! If part of the release strategy was to make the fans wait for the album and the hoopla to start like the kingdom come, building expectations almost impossible to fulfill, they have succeeded!
Personally.. I think that I have been in a state of suspense since the Canada concert, and the flames got higher with BTM. Now I'm refreshing Atop like a crazy person, already ready to rip my hair and gnaw the nearby trees to pieces like a beaver, and nothing is happening! Nyaargh! When when when does the promo start?! *another fan on the ladder*

Can it also be dance routines? Jugglers? Fire eaters? :

This gives me hope for many, and may also indicate that Adam performing the National Anthem at sporting events may be more likely than thought. There is a good video that goes with this story if someone can bring it over - thankyou espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/31470/baseball-and-wnba-join-anti-bullying-campaigntelling kids that distressing though it may be to be young and marginalized in a world of bullies and homophobes at school, life can and does get much happier. Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Lambert, Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Matthew Morrison of "Glee", Joe Jonas, Joel Madden, Ke$ha, Sarah Silverman, Tim Gunn, Ellen DeGeneres, Suze Orman, the staffs of The Gap, Google, Facebook, Pixar ... all kinds of people have contributed.

Yeah, is today gonna set a record for slowest news day ever? I think so! LOL But there's soooo much goodness coming that I can handle this, plus I'm trying to get so much done around the house b/c I KNOW as soon as the storm hits, RL will take a bit of a back seat.
